What Can We Learn From Natural Disasters?

In the book of Genesis in the Old Testament God says: ¨And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and every thing that is in the earth shall die¨, Genesis 6:17. Therefore the Old Testament Lord said: ¨I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them¨, Genesis 6:7. In Genesis 7:19 we read that ¨all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered¨ with water.

In Luke 21:25 Jesus talks about ¨distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring¨. In the next verse Jesus says that ¨the powers of heaven shall be shaken¨, Luke 21:26.
This culminates in the ¨great tribulation¨, Matthew 24:21.

10 000 years ago the sea level in the Mediterranean sea was more than 130 meters lower than today. Most of the cities from that time are destroyed deep under water.

The coming rise of the sea level is seriously neglected by the politicians. We know that the poles are melting and that the sea level in short time could rise as much as 250 meters. A proof of this is that even the topmost part of Mount Everest is made up of sedimentary materials and fossils, that are consistent with deposits left by flowing water. These sea creatures on the top of Mount Everest fit quite nicely with the flood of the Bible.

Jesus warns us that His coming shall be like as in the days of Noah, when ¨the flood came, and took them all away¨, see Matthew 24:37 - 39. That is the reason for His exhortation in a deeper sense that we should ¨flee to the mountains¨, Mark 13:14. Revelation 16:3 mentions that ¨every living soul died in the sea¨. It is moreover specified in Revelation 8:9 that ¨the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and the third part of the ships were destroyed¨. But now baptism saves us, 1 Peter 3:21.

The lesson we can learn from recent natural disasters and catastrophs, such as Tsunamis and Hurricanes, is that we should avoid to build our cities too close to the sea level.

Anyway, Jesus will always be with us, Matthew 28:20, that we may have more abundant lives, John 10:10. And when the first heaven and the first earth have passed away, there will be no more sea under the new heavens and in the new earth according to His promise, see Revelation 21:1 and 2 Peter 3:13.

¨Et qui sitit, veniat; qui vult, accipiat aquam vitae gratis¨, Revelation 22:17.

Which Message Is Delivered To God's Saints?

The saints are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus, according to the book of Revelation 14:12. This is explained further in 1 John 3:23 where it states that we should believe in the name of Jesus Christ, and love one another, as He gave us commandment, see John 13:34.

Which message is then delivered to God's saints - to those who believe in the Name of Jesus and in His commandment to love one another?

Basically the message is that the dead, who die in the name of the Lord Jesus are blessed, see Revelation 14:13. The reason for this is that Jesus has abolished death, ¨and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel¨, 2 Timothy 1:10. Through death Jesus destroyed the devil, who had the power of death, and thus those who all their lifetimes were subject to bondage through fear of death, are now delivered and saved by Jesus Christ, Hebrews 2:14 - 15.

Christ has been raised from the dead, and He became the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep in death, for since through man death came into the world, by man also the resurrection of the dead has come. For because of Adam all die, but thanks to Christ shall all be made alive, but each in his own turn: Christ is the firstfruits, then those who are Christ's own will be resurrected at His coming, see 1 Corinthians 15:20 - 23.

This mean that ¨Death is swallowed up in victory¨, 1 Corinthians 15:54, since the Old Testament law - which nurtures sin - is done away with, see 1 Corinthians 15:56 and 2 Corinthians 3:11. Now the last enemy which is destroyed is accordingly death, see 1 Corinthians 15:26. These things have been written that our joy may be full, 1 John 1:4, and that the evil inclination of the Old Testament law may be replaced by the fruits of the Spirit, which are - love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance - see Galatians 5:22 - 23. Therefore the reward of following the New Testament way and to believe in Jesus is eternal life, see John 10:28, because ¨God is light, and in Him is no darkness at all¨, 1 John 1:5. Jesus is the true Light, which ¨lighteth every man that cometh into the world¨, John 1:9.

¨Ecce venio cito, et merces mea mecum est, reddere unicuique sicut opus eius est¨, Revelation 22:12.

¨What Must I Do To Be Saved?¨

It must be agreed by all those who believe the New Testament that the greatest question in it is: ¨What must I do to be saved?¨, Acts 16:30.

This question is answered so simply in the New Testament - The Word Of Life - so that every soul can understand it: ¨Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house¨, Acts 16:31.

According to 1 John 5:13 it is possible to know that you have eternal life: ¨These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God¨.

¨Qui credit in Filium, habet vitam aeternam¨, John 3:36.

Who Is The Woman Clothed With The Sun In Revelation 12:1?

In Jewish religion the sun represents idolaters, while Israel is represented by the moon. The apostle John had visions concerning the future, as recorded in the book of Revelation, and in Revelation 12:1 he sees a woman clothed with the sun, and after that he sees another sign - a great red dragon - Revelation 12:3.

These both signs are easily explained, and it all starts in the very important year of 1948.

First there appears a woman. This is the Greek Hellenic Lady now clothed with the sun. This happened the 7th of March 1948. The island in Greek mythology of Helios - the sun - which is modern Rhodes, Greece, was captured in 620 AD by the Persians. After that different countries occupied Rhodes, and from 1522 to 1912, it was occupied by Turkey, and from 1912 it was ruled by Italy. Finally after many many centuries of foreign domination Rhodes became Greek again the 7th of March 1948. This is the most important date in modern church history because here the church is clearly identified with New Rome, Constantinople, which now is clothed with the sun, the island of Helios, which is Rhodes.

The evangelist Luke, who painted icons in Jerusalem for a living, wrote down the words of Jesus where He says: ¨For there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; neither hid, that shall not be known¨, Luke 12:2. Now we thus know that the universal church has its center located in Constantinople and that its nature is Roman and Latin as it is written, ¨There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus¨, Galatians 3:28. Thus the church is for all nationalities and races as it is also attested in Revelation 5:9, and of course the priesthood should be available for both women and men since there is neither male nor female. The difference between christianity and other religions is that of total equality and also between the genders, of freedom, and of cosmopolitism. Divorced persons are also allowed to get remarried as it can be derived from Romans 7:3, since we now are free from the law and guided by the spirit. Furthermore divorce is recommended in the New Testament for the case one person is unequally joked together with someone who is evil or abusive, 2 Corinthians 6:14. Of course a priest is allowed to marry, but that is not a must. If a priest wants to become a bishop it is however required that he first of all is a good family father, who rules his house in good order, so that he can be trusted to take control and care of the church of God, see 1 Timothy 3: 1 - 4. Unfortunately most church denominations today doesn't control that a bishop really has a family before a bishop's ordination and therefore the churches have serious problems with bishops who are either child molesters and murderers or pedophiles and homosexuals both in the catholic church as well as in other church denominations.

Israel is the male principle and Greece is the female principle. Together they create the church. Jesus will rule all nations with a rod of iron - the latin language - Revelation 12:5, and we accordingly remember the prophecy in the Old Testament book of Daniel where Rome and Constantinople are compared to the Roman empire's legs of iron, Daniel 2:33.

It is true that the church now has a few years of hardships because it is in God's mind to create church unity and that which is not fit will disappear as it is written, ¨and every living soul died in the sea¨, Revelation 16:3. Thus it is better to be down to earth and to remember that God did not spare the old world, 2 Peter 2:5, and that He doesn't intend to spare this world either, Matthew 24:37. However, this world is without end, Ephesians 3:21, because God is merciful, 1 Peter 1:3.

The next sign appears in Revelation 12:3, and it is described as ¨a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads¨. Here the apostle John sees the dragon Jerusalem, which stands in sharp contrast to Constantinople - the bride of Christ. Jesus Himself also wept over seven hilled Jerusalem, who killed the Old Testament prophets and many New Testament saints, and where the two witnesses also will be killed, see Matthew 23:33 - 39, Luke 13:33 - 35, Revelation 11:8, Revelation 17:3 - 18, and Revelation 20:4. If Rhodes regained its independency from foreign oppression and became part of Greece again the 7th of March 1948, then the prophecies in the book of Revelation continued to came true when Israel gained its independence the 14th of May 1948, and also when Jerusalem was reconquered by Israel in 1967.

Already Enoch, the 7th from Adam, saw the Lord Jesus return to execute His judgments, Jude 1:14 - 15, reward his servants, and destroy them who destroy the earth, see Revelation 11:18.

Those who wait for the return of Jesus will receive crowns of righteousness, 2 Timothy 4:8. These will be cast before the throne of Jesus with the words: ¨Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created¨, Revelation 4:11.

¨In hoc novimus caritatem Dei, quoniam ille pro nobis animam suam posuit¨, 1 John 3:16.
