Et erunt pestilentiae et fames et terraemotus per loca. (Matthew 24:7)
BBC reports the UN's World Health Organization has raised the alert over swine flu to level five - indicating human-to-human transmission in at least two countries.
"And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine", see Mark 5:13.
WHO says it is a "strong signal that a pandemic is imminent".
The Netherlands confirms its first case of swine flu.
And on Thursday the swine flu virus appeared in new locations as far apart as Peru and Switzerland.
According to The New York Times, Mexican President Felipe Calderón said in a nationally televised speech Wednesday night, that, as of Friday, many public services will be closed.
After an emergency WHO meeting in Geneva, Director General Margaret Chan said: "It really is the whole of humanity that is under threat in a pandemic".
Ms Chan stressed on Wednesday that there was no danger from eating properly cooked pork.
The search for the source of the outbreak continues, with the focus on the vicinity of a pig farm in the eastern part of Mexico.
In the US, President Barack Obama has urged local public-health bodies to be vigilant, and said schools with confirmed cases "should consider closing".
About 100 have so far done so.
President Obama said on Wednesday evening there are no current plans to close the border with Mexico.
In the short term, it seems likely that agricultural and food stocks will fall, followed by a rebound when people figure out that swine flu cannot be caught from eating pork.
On the other hand, the drop in airline and travel stocks, particularly among those companies that do a lot of business in Mexico, will probably last longer.
The swine flu outbreak will ultimately result in a spike in sales of vitamins, over-the-counter cold meds, hand sanitizers, and surgical masks.
Maybe the swine flu is an invention to prevent Americans and Europeans from gathering in large groups like "Tea Parties"?

Et ecce equus pallidus et qui sedebat desuper nomen illi Mors, et inferus sequebatur eum, et data est illi potestas super quattuor partes terrae interficere gladio fame et morte et bestiis terrae. (Revelation 6:8)
Yahoo! News reports the spread of swine flu has increased sharply.
In Mexico 152 persons are now believed to have died from swine flu, with more than 1.600 people suspected to be carrying the virus.
At least 16 countries have now confirmed or suspected infections.
The WHO has raised its flu pandemic alert level signalling a "significant increase in the risk of a pandemic".
Keiji Fukuda, acting WHO assistant director-general for health, security and the environment, said, that all corners of the world are at potential risk.
Fukuda continued: "I think that in this age of global travel, where people move around in airplanes so quickly, there is no region to which this virus could not spread".
Fukuda added that the outbreak is too "widespread to make containment a feasible" strategy.
Fukuda said: "With the virus being widespread... closing borders or restricting travel really has very little effects in stopping the movement of this virus".
The head of microbiology at the University of Hong Kong, Yuen Kwok-yung said: "It is very likely we are at the beginning of a pandemic. We are near there".
Dmitry Lvov, head of the Russian Academy of Sciences' Institute of Virology, said: "The risk of a pandemic in the world is very high".
British Prime Minister Gordon Brown said, as his government called a meeting of its COBRA crisis cell: "Swine flu is an international problem now, it's crossed two continents, it's got to be dealt with by international agreements".
Australian authorities said on Tuesday they were investigating 70 possible cases of swine flu and cautioned against travel to Mexico.
UN chief Ban Ki-moon warned: "We are concerned that this virus could cause a new influenza pandemic. It could be mild in its effect or potentially be severe".
As oil prices suffer new falls amid worries that the outbreak would hurt air travel and hit demand, at least some consumers will now be happy.
Anyway, it seems like swine flu is going to be a marathon, not a sprint - and we have only just gotten started.

Terraemotus magni erunt per loca et pestilentiae et fames terroresque de caelo et signa magna erunt. (Luke 21:11)
Twenty cases of swine flu have been confirmed in the United States, and Europe has also got its first swine flu case, in Spain.
As the United States stepped up preparations for a possible swine flu epidemic, Canada confirmed its first cases of swine flu on Sunday, according to CNN.
The current outbreak of swine flu in Mexico, the United States, Canada, and Europe, seems to be the result of the introduction of a human-engineered pathogen that could result in a widespread global pandemic, with potentially catastrophic consequences for domestic and international travel and commerce.
Let us hope the size of seriousness of this outbreak is going to be limited.

Patientes estote, et vos, confirmate corda vestra, quoniam adventus Domini adpropinquavit. (James 5:8)
According to Telegraph every phone call, email, or website visit in the UK, will be monitored by the state under plans to be unveiled next week.
Since January this year we already have a similar system istalled here in Sweden.
And if you send a fax, or an email to your bank or to your friends, the details are also checked and stored.
This is of course unstoppable and will be global.
Personally, I have no problem to handle this.
Now, I understand that in the insecure world we live in, the authorities have to check everything.
It is like when you take a plane somewhere - you are checked you not hide knives in your shoes for example.
I grew up during the socialist era in Sweden, so I always expect a third party to tape my phonecalls and read my mails.
During work I am also used to be both filmed and recorded.
But I feel sorry for those, who believe they have some privacy, when they use electronical devices.

Non potest dicere oculus manui, opera tua non indigeo, aut iterum caput pedibus, non estis mihi necessarii. (1 Corinthians 12:21)
According to Times Online, Tony Blair called for a battle to be waged against militant Islam similar to that fought against revolutionary communism.
Blair addressed a forum on religion and politics in Chicago.
Blair said: "I still believe that those who oppress and brutalize their citizens are better put out of power than kept in it".
Defending his intervention in Iraq and Afghanistan, Blair said the argument that Britain should revert to a more traditional, cautious foreign policy should be resisted.
Blair said: "In the use of hard power, we have to understand one very simple thing: where we are called upon to fight, we have to do it. If we are defeated anywhere, we are at risk of being defeated everywhere".
I agree with most of the things Tony Blair said on religion and politics.
We all want to live in a democratic and free society, but I personally think we only can attain this thanks to Christianity.

Carissimi, obsecro tamquam advenas et peregrinos abstinere vos a carnalibus desideriis, quae militant adversus animam. (1 Peter 2:11)
The Brussels Journal concludes that "the new enemy of the West is ideological Islam".
Thomas Landen writes in his well-written essay: "If NATO wants to be a useful instrument in defending the West against this enemy it needs to accept a new member state – Israel".
It is not often I read articles on the net that are correct on all counts, but here Thomas Landen has created a veritable masterpiece.
Landen continues: "Today, ideological Islam has replaced Marxism as the main threat to the freedoms of the West".
Landen says that NATO’s successful past shows that it can only serve the goal to ensure that we will never be at war with Islam, by preparing itself for war against Islam.
The Belgian politician Filip Dewinter said in a recent interview that "NATO defends freedoms and democratic values characteristic of European civilization".
Dewinter continued: "Israel is an outpost of the free West in Islam-occupied territory".
This is also something US Secretary Of State Hillary Clinton should consider, when she complains that Israel does not support the Palestinian cause.
Israel can also only represent Israel.
Thomas Landen said: "If Mr. Obama wants to serve the free world he should go to Istanbul to speak out in favor of Israel’s admission to NATO".
I strongly agree with Landen on this.
NATO needs Israel, and Israel needs NATO.
It is about time Israel is admitted to NATO.

Radix enim omnium malorum est cupiditas, quam quidam appetentes erraverunt a fide et inseruerunt se doloribus multis. (1 Timothy 6:10)
Father tries to cash in on daughter's fame, according to News of the World.
The poverty-stricken father of Slumdog Millionaire child star Rubina Ali plans to become a millionaire himself-by selling his nine-year-old daughter.
The dad declared: "I have to consider what's best for me, my family and Rubina's future".
Dad Rafiq is desperate to cash in on their nine-year-old's success in the blockbuster film by selling her to the highest bidder.
Slumdog has been a roaring success, raking in a staggering £185 million at box offices around the world.
But Rafiq, 36, complained: "They haven't looked after us. They gave some money at the start but they gave us nothing afterwards. They gave us around 150.000 rupees (£2.040). They've been talking about giving us a house, but all they do is talk". Rubina chipped in: "But I did get toys. When we were filming in Juhu beach I got some crayons".
In a bid to escape India's real-life slums, Rafiq Qureshi put angel-faced darling of the Oscars Rubina up for adoption, demanding millions of rupees worth £200.000.
That little girl's life is much more valuable than just any money.
Poverty should not always be used as an excuse, because it does not force you to be amoral or cruel.

Temptatio vos non adprehendat nisi humana, fidelis autem Deus, qui non patietur vos temptari super id quod potestis, sed faciet cum temptatione etiam proventum, ut possitis sustinere (1 Corinthians 10:13)
Yahoo! News reports Russian President Dmitry Medvedev warned NATO Friday that planned military exercises in neighboring Georgia were an attempt at muscle-flexing by the Western alliance that could hinder efforts to mend ties.
Russia fought a brief war with Georgia last year and is vexed by what it describes as NATO support for the ex-Soviet state, a crucial transit route for Caspian Sea oil and gas to Europe long controlled by Moscow.
NATO says it does not understand why Moscow is upset by the long-planned exercises involving 1.300 troops from 19 countries from May 6 to June 1.
Medvedev said: "This is the wrong decision, a dangerous decision".
NATO cut all formal ties with Russia as a result of Moscow's apt intervention in Georgia last year, but earlier this year they agreed to resume relations.
Russian officials have said NATO exercises indicate Western support for Saakashvili, who has faced days of protests by thousands of demonstrators who say he should resign for blundering into a war with Russia and crushing freedoms.
I agree with the Russian President Dmitry Medvedev that the NATO exercise in the former Soviet Union is an unnecessary provocation against Russia.
Georgia started the aggression against the Russian population in South Ossetia and Abkhazia last year, when I was on vacation in Samos, Greece.
I remember the pro-Russian sentiment in Greece, and also the Greek incomprehension and outrage against the Georgian President, that one Orthodox country (Georgia) would attack fellow Orthodox Christians of Russian descent, who lived close to the Russian border.
War is often a good and necessary thing.
Let us hope NATO under the new leadership of the very competent Anders Fogh Rasmussen will concentrate on the real enemies of the West, and not on the peaceful Russian people, which in fact for centuries has served as a friendly shield against the enemies of the West.

Non est enim personarum acceptio apud Deum. (Romans 2:11)
According to BlackNews, two black Mormons have discovered that Jesus Christ indeed was black.
Since Jesus Christ is God, I am convinced He has a mixed racial background and heritage.
Jesus Christ belongs to all people, and He belongs to the whole world.
Everyone should be able to identify with God, so naturally God has a part of us all.
"There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus", see Galatians 3:28.
Jesus Christ was crucified because he was not white enough, and not black enough, not rich enough, but not poor enough.
Jesus Christ was despised because he did not meet the expectations and standards of what a political and religious leader with authority and power should look like.
I am not a Mormon, and I disregard the belief of the Mormons, but I must admit that this uncovering of Jesus Christ's genealogy and black heritage is very interesting indeed from a human point of view.

Non gaudet super iniquitatem, congaudet autem veritati. (1 Corinthians 13:6)
In a measured break with a half-century of U.S. policy toward communist Cuba, the Obama administration lifted restrictions Monday on Cuban-Americans who want to travel and send money to their island homeland, according to The Huffington Post.
But maybe people who travel to Cuba not should forget to set the watch back 50 years?

Etenim in uno Spiritu omnes nos in unum corpus baptizati sumus, sive Iudaei sive Graeci sive servi sive liberi, et omnes unum Spiritum potati sumus. (1 Corinthians 12:13)
Science Daily reports Frequent Mental Distress (FMD) - defined as having 14 or more days in the previous month when one felt burdened by stress, depression or emotional problems - largely depends on where you live.
I am sure where you live geographically in the world, is very important for your personal inner harmony and general well-being.
Some people feel in harmony up in the mountains and other at the sea shores.
I let the cool picture of beautiful Holly Valance, above, symbolize a harmonious state of mind.
Dr. Matthew M. Zack said: "Because FMD often indicates potentially unmet health and social service needs, programs for public health, community mental health and social services whose jurisdictions include areas with high FMD levels should collaborate to identify and eliminate the specific preventable sources of this distress".
Myself, I have lived abroad for 14 years of my life and I must say that I feel in best harmony when I'm close to Stockholm, Sweden, where I was born and grew up.
I love to travel and also to live abroad, but I am happy I have moved back to Södertälje in Sweden.
To work in or visit New Orleans, New York, New Mexico, Narvik, Helsinki, Åbo, Avignon, Paris, Mons, Brussels, Athens, Jerusalem, or Cairo, is truly stimulating and interesting.
But to live close to where you grew up, frequent old friends, and being able to speak your native language with everyone, are indeed very important things to me.
Of course I love to speak and hear French, Greek, English, Italian, or Dutch.
But if I can choose, then I feel more comfortable with Swedish.

Reddite ergo, quae sunt Caesaris, Caesari et, quae sunt Dei, Deo. (Matthew 22:21)
An American movement, organized by a bunch of mostly unconnected people, who found each other via social networking on the Internet, is now getting global.
Donald Douglas mentions this new phenomenon in his excellent blog - American Power.
WorldNetDaily also reports tea parties have nearly 3.000 organizers across the U.S., but that the movement has spread overseas.
The question is how many who will join the tax day parties tomorrow?

Amen, amen dico vobis: Qui credit in me, habet vitam aeternam. (John 6:47)
Pilgrims have been walking the wrong Way of the Cross for almost 1.000 years, a prominent archaeological expert on Jerusalem has claimed, according to Telegraph Newspaper.
The path they have been taking - called the Via Dolorosa or Via Crucis - starts in the wrong part of the city, according to Professor Shimon Gibson, a British-born academic who studied at University College London.
For centuries it has been assumed that the place where Jesus was tried by Pontius Pilate was the Antonia Fortress in the north of Jerusalem.
Christian pilgrims have consequently followed the route from there to Calvary Hill, believing this was the way Jesus dragged the cross.
But Prof Gibson said: "When we measured the remains of the Antonia Fortress, we found it was so small it could have been no bigger than a tower".
He thought it more likely that Pontius Pilate's Praetorium was elsewhere.
Gibson said: "With Pontius Pilate being a governor used to palatial surroundings, he would have got use of the old palace of Herod the Great, which was enormous".
Gibson said the remains of the palace in the south west of the Old City included a "large paved courtyard" by military barracks, near the Jaffa Gate, that would have been ideal for holding Jesus's public trial.
Gibson also thought the Rock of Calvary, also called Golgotha, was too small to have been the site of the crucifixion. It took place some 60ft away, he contended.
Gibson thought the rock became the focus of early Christians' beliefs after the true site was buried beneath a pagan temple built by Hadrian.
Gibson said: "The top of the rock was always visible, so Christians could say, 'This marks the spot of the crucifixion' ".
The academic, who has outlined his theories in a new book called The Final Days of Jesus, concluded 12th century crusaders were responsible for redrawing the spiritual map of Jerusalem, including the Way of the Cross.
Gibson said: "They killed almost everyone, including the local Christians. A lot of the original early Christian traditions were lost".
Obviously, history has been tampered with.
We are grateful for the work being done by Prof Gibson.

Thronus tuus, Deus, in saeculum saeculi. (Hebrews 1:8)
"But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept", see 1 Corinthians 15:20.
Jesus is the only way, see John 14:6.
Jesus Christ revealed God to men, see Matthew 11:27 and John 1:18.
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is one of the major evidences of the Deity of Jesus Christ.
Christians too will overcome as a result of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice and victory over death, compare with Revelation 12:11.
"And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight. And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven", see Acts 1:9 - 11.
The reason for God's incarnation in the person of Jesus Christ was to provide a sacrifice for sin, see Hebrews 10:1 - 10, and to destroy the works of the devil, see John 12:31, Colossians 2:13 - 15, and Hebrews 2:14.
"The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord", see Romans 6:23.
Concerning non-believers it is written that "the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them", see 2 Corinthians 4:4.
Jesus Christ is the exact manifestation and the express image of God, compare with Hebrews 1:3.
There are many different Christian denominations and Churches. But what is basic Christian faith according to the New Testament?
The Christian faith is actually carefully outlined in the Bible.
The Christian faith is to believe in the virgin birth, and the eternal Deity of Jesus Christ.
Christians do also believe in Jesus Christ's sacrificial blood atonement for sinners on the cross, and on Christ's bodily resurrection.
Finally, Christians believe Jesus Christ will return to set up His Kingdom on Earth.
"And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me", see John 12:32.
"Dixit ei Iesus: 'Ego sum resurrectio et vita. Qui credit in me, et si mortuus fuerit, vivet' ", John 11:25.

Stipendia enim peccati mors, gratia autem Dei vita aeterna in Christo Iesu Domino nostro. (Romans 6:23)
If Jesus Christ was the Son of God, why did He call Himself the Son of Man?
Now, Jesus Christ said of Himself that His title is: "I am", see John 8:58.
As explained in my post yesterday, Jesus Christ concluded that He is the Lord God Almighty and the Father, see John 10:30 and 14:9.
Proverbs 30:4 talks about God and the Son of God: "Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?"
Since Jesus Christ is the Father - the Lord God Almighty - who then is the Son of God?
Well, we can find one clue in Romans 10:12, which states: "For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek".
Every verse in the Bible has 7 different spiritual meanings, which all are correct.
Ethnically and historically, Jews and Greeks are interrelated in many ways. We have for example Moses and Minos, Mount Sinai and Mount Olymp.
Religion came from the Jews, and its little brother Politics from the Greeks.
Theocracy came from the Jews, and its little brother Democracy from the Greeks.
Both Jews and Greeks are the bearers of our advanced civilization.
Thus, there is no real difference between Jews and Greeks, as Romans 10:12 implies, because you cannot separate religion from politics, or theocracy from democracy.
In like manner the Bible is the story about God - Jesus Christ, and about the Son of God - Alexander the Great.
Now, God is of course superior to the Son of God, and we should only worship Jesus Christ, our heavenly Father and Creator.
The Egyptian Creator-God was called Amen, which also is a Hebrew short for "God our Faithful King".
Amen, which also means "so be it", is also one of the titles of Jesus Christ, see Revelation 3:14.
In Isaiah 19:25, God calls Egypt His people, and you will find Alexandria there, the city of the Son of God, Alexander the Great.
Egypt sometimes also symbolizes Greece.
We should remember that there is no difference between Jews and Greeks, see Romans 10:12.
Official Judaism to this day does not recognize Jesus Christ as the Lord God Almighty, and in the same way the Greek-Orthodox Church does not recognize Jesus Christ as the Father, contrary to the Catholic Church.
Thus, there is no difference between Jews and Greeks concerning their general blindness, when it comes to the nature of the Lord God Almighty, our Father Jesus Christ.
The Jews are of course God's people, see Romans 11:1, so here we see again the interconnection with the Greeks, compare with Isaiah 19:25.
Both Hebrews and Greeks have Ministries of condemnation and languages of death, see 2 Corinthians 3:6, 7, 11.
The New Testament is replacing the Old Testament, see Hebrews 8:6, 13, and compare with Luke 16:16.
We should of course never give offence to either Jews or Greeks, see 1 Corinthians 10:32.
Even if Latin is the Sacred language, we should at all instances respect both Hebrew and Greek, compare with Revelation 9:11, and John 19:20.
Romans 9:12 states that the older will serve the younger.
This means that religion will serve politics, and that both the Hebrew and Greek languages will be the source of inspiration for the younger more perfect Latin language.
The Apostle Peter said in Acts 3:15 to the men of Israel that they "killed the Author of Life". This can only be God, who made all things, see Acts 14:15.
Since Jesus Christ is the Author of Life, He is the resurrection and the life, the only God, and the only way to God, see John 14:6.
"True worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth", see John 4:23.
We remember that there is no real difference between Jews and Greeks, see Romans 10:12.
Well, the Greeks killed Alexander the Great by poisoning.
"Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place", see 2 Corinthians 2:14.
"Verbum autem Domini manet in aeternum. Hoc est autem verbum, quod evangelizatum est in vos", 1 Peter 1:25.

In hoc cognovimus caritatem Dei, quoniam ille animam suam pro nobis posuit. (1 John 3:16)
Jesus Christ said: "I and my Father are one", see John 10:30.
Jesus Christ is the God of the Bible, and there is only salvation through Him.
"Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved", see Acts 4:12.
Thus Jesus Christ is the Lord God Almighty, compare also with Philippians 2:10, Colossians 1:16, and 1 John 5:20.
"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory", see 1 Timothy 3:16.
"Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ", see Titus 2:13.
Accordingly, Jesus Christ is the Father.
The New Testament says that no one is good except God the Father alone; "Nemo bonus nisi unus Deus Pater", see Mark 10:18.
That means that anyone who does not accept Jesus Christ to be the heavenly Father, actually says that Jesus Christ is an imperfect nature, who lacks the fullness and divinity of God.
1 Peter 5:1 originally read that Peter was a witness to the "sufferings of God". This text was later changed to the "sufferings of Christ".
The devil is always in the details.
2 Peter 1:2 also originally read: "Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God, our Lord Jesus". But today we read in our modern Bibles: "Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord".
This led to the medieval lie that there should exist another God called Jehovah.
But the name Jehovah is found nowhere in the Latin Bible or in the original New Testament.
The Bible is furthermore filled with evidence that Jesus Christ both is the Lord God Almighty and the Father.
"Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen", see Romans 9:5.
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to all believers, and the author and finisher of our faith, compare with Romans 10:4 and Hebrews 12:2.
One thing is for sure: Jesus Christ is the Lord God Almighty.
"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty", see Revelation 1:8.
The New Testament bears witness that Jesus Christ is God, see John 1:1,3,10, that Jesus Christ possesses the full divine nature of the only true God, see Colossians 1:19 and 2:9, and that Jesus Christ is our heavenly Father.
"Dicit ei Iesus: 'Tanto tempore vobiscum sum, et non cognovisti me, Philippe? Qui vidit me, vidit Patrem' ", John 14:9.

Expurgate vetus fermentum, ut sitis nova consparsio, sicut estis azymi. Etenim pascha nostrum immolatus est Christus! (1 Corinthians 5:7)
WorldNetDaily reports scientists from the British intelligence agency MI5 have discovered that their state-of-the-art facial scanners to spot terrorists at airports have failed.
The scanners, which cost over 1 million British pounds each to develop, had been intended to cut passenger queues at airports.
The devices have been installed at major airports in Britain and are designed to check passengers' faces against their digital passport images.
But the airport machines have developed a serious glitch, and some of the results have been startling.
An MI5 leaked memo to the Home Office, in charge of all British airport security, claimed the face scanners installed at Manchester airport revealed that the actress Winona Ryder showed a 52 percent likeness to Osama bin Laden in terms of the facial characteristics the machine was programmed to select.
The startling situation, that airport face scanners cannot tell the difference between Osama bin Laden and Winona Ryder, meaning travellers whose faces are shown to have only a 30 percent likeness to their passport photographs can pass through, makes the scanners worthless.

Et iratus est draco in mulierem et abiit facere proelium cum reliquis de semine eius, qui custodiunt mandata Dei et habent testimonium Iesu. (Revelation 12:17)
Newsmax reports Former British Prime Minister Tony Blair is emerging as a favorite to be the first permanent President of the European Union.
Blair’s return to the world stage has won the approval of European leaders: His high international profile, they say, would lend the gravitas needed to represent the 27-nation alliance to the Obama administration.
Personally, I would prefer Silvio Berlusconi for the post.
After 900 Hamas rockets hit Israel, Israel retaliated with the Gaza war, but the EU never really defended Israel's right to her self defense.
Silvio Berlusconi, on the contrary, was the only one who unconditionally stood up for Israel's right to self defense.
Berlusconi has understood the power of the Latin culture, and with him at the EU helm, Europe would be a safer place, compare with Daniel 11:41.
I would also like to see Latin as Europe's official language.
But Tony Blair is nevertheless not a bad choice, even if he has part in Britain's actual economic troubles, and the Islamization of Europe.
Since Blair is British (Britain is the tribe of Josef), he is Israeli.
And with the other "lost Israeli" tribes in Europe, such as France, Benelux, and Scandinavia, Blair will probably gain enough support needed for the EU Presidency.
But Israel's two historical son's of Zilpah - Leah's handmaid - Gad=Switzerland, and Asher=Norway, are not yet members of the EU, and that must change, because power lies in unity.
It is comic that the Israelis themselves often do not understand their own best interest, but furthermore always are in opposition to the 12th member of their Israeli family, the sons of Judah - the Jews.
Blair also faces another powerful potential rival for the job: the German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
In the Bible God calls Germany-Austria-Italy "Assyria the work of my hands", see Isaiah 19:25, and compare with Genesis 27:22.
Merkel would certainly defend Israel with her voice, and also get the job done, just as Esau would - whose Latin name is Jesus by the way.
Actually, Tony Blair, Silvio Berlusconi, and Angela Merkel, are excellent candidates for the EU Presidency, all three of them.
What is most important is that the future EU President is a conservative Christian individual, who will see to it that Europe is the unified world power.
This can only be achieved by a EU President, who can ensure Latin to be our official language - Europe must speak with one voice.
Russia must be integrated as a full-fledged EU member, and greater Israel as a religious leader together with Greece, compare with Romans 10:12.
One of the most important tasks for the future EU President will be to strengthen Europe's ties with the United States, and also to prepare for America's integration in the EU.

Exsurget autem gens super gentem, et regnum super regnum, et erunt terraemotus per loca, et fames; initium dolorum haec. (Mark 13:8)
As the Earth and the Moon grind through their gravitational ballet, our planet gets tugged hard near the equator, according to Armageddon Online.
The force is so strong that as the Moon passes overhead each day, it pulls Earth's surface up 11.8 inches.
Writing in the journal Earth and Planetary Science Letters, Laurent Metivier of Paris Diderot University in France, and a team of researchers, now claim they have found a distinct connection between solid Earth tides and earthquakes.
It seems earthquake probability is enhanced as the Moon passes overhead.

Ille autem dicit eis: "Ego sum, nolite timere!". (John 6:20)
North Korea fired a long-range rocket over Japan on Sunday, provoking international condemnation and triggering an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council as it succeeded in grabbing the world's attention, Reuters said.
The reclusive communist state's official media said a satellite had been launched into orbit, and it was now circling the Earth transmitting revolutionary songs.
South Korea branded the launch of the three-stage rocket a "reckless" act, and Japan said it was "extremely regrettable".
Lee Dong Kwan, a spokesman for the South Korean President, Lee Myung Bak, said: "The government cannot but express disappointment and regret over North Korea's reckless act of firing a long-range rocket, which poses a serious threat to security on the Korean peninsula and the world. The government will deal firmly and resolutely with North Korea's provocative act".
The Japanese Prime Minister, Taro Aso, said: "The projectile launched from North Korea today appears to have passed over towards the Pacific".
Japanese media reported that the first stage of the rocket had fallen as planned into the Sea of Japan of the country’s north-west coast, and that the second stage had fallen into the Pacific Ocean far to the east.
US President Barack Obama called the launch "provocative" and a clear violation of UN Security Council rules, according toTimes Online.
Obama said: "With this provocative act, North Korea has ignored its international obligations, rejected unequivocal calls for restraint, and further isolated itself from the community of nations".
The European Union "strongly condemned" Pyongyang's step.
The Czech EU Presidency said in a statement today: "These actions place additional strains on regional stability at a time when the unresolved nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula requires mutual confidence-building".
UN chief Ban Ki-Moon said: "Given the volatility in the region, as well as a stalemate in interaction among the concerned parties, such a launch is not conducive to efforts to promote dialogue, regional peace and stability".
There was no immediate indication whether the rocket had launched a communications satellite, as Pyongyang claims, or whether it was a disguised test for a long range Taepodong 2 ballistic missile, with a range which could threaten the western reaches of the United States.
British Foreign Secretary David Miliband said earlier today that he "strongly" condemned North Korea's launch of a rocket and urged it to "cease immediately all further missile-related activity".
In my opinion Pyongyang must suspend its ballistic missile and nuclear programs.

Los Angeles Times reports a 17-year-old girl was publicly flogged by the Pakistani Taliban in the Swat Valley, for allegedly refusing to marry a local militant commander.
The video, shot with a cellphone, initially shows the girl, clad in an all-enveloping black burka, being held by men while another begins striking her.
As the whip falls, she pleads: "For God's sake, please stop, stop it. I am dying".
This is what everyday life looks like, if we let evil ideologies, or evil religions rule our society.

Deus autem meus implebit omne desiderium vestrum secundum divitias suas in gloria in Christo Iesu. (Philippians 4:19)
Yahoo! News reports that NATO says that Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen has been unanimously named as the alliance's new Secretary-General.
That really is wonderful news, and I feel great relief.
I warmly congratulate Anders Fogh Rasmussen.

Et ipse dedit quosdam quidem apostolos, quosdam autem prophetas, alios vero evangelistas, alios autem pastores et doctores. (Ephesians 4:11)
Yahoo! News reports NATO was deadlocked Saturday over the choice of a new Secretary-General after Turkey blocked the candidacy of the Dane, Anders Fogh Rasmussen, who angered Muslims by defending the right to print cartoons of the Prophet Muhammed, officials said.
Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen was seen as the front-runner, but he infuriated many Muslims by defending freedom of speech during an uproar over a Danish newspaper's publication of the cartoons in 2006.
An Italian government official said Silvio Berlusconi had phoned Recep Tayyip Erdogan in a "last-minute" bid to try to persuade him to overcome Turkey's resistance to Fogh Rasmussen's candidacy. Officials from two other countries also confirmed the conversation.
The Italians under Silvio Berlusconi always correctly understand the situation, and always do an excellent job.
The term of the alliance's current head, Dutch diplomat Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, runs out Aug. 1.
I strongly support Anders Fogh Rasmussen, because I am Swedish, and like Sweden a great part of Europe is not member of the NATO alliance, and I have confidence in Rasmussen's ability to keep Europe at peace.
Anders Fogh Rasmussen can be accepted by everyone, and he also showed great strength and integrity, when he defended the use of free speech and artistic freedom, after a cartoon was published in Denmark, which angered Muslims.
Many countries and a large public opinion then wanted to abolish artistic and religious freedom, and also freedom of speech. Furthermore they wanted the cartoonist punished.
I think Anders Fogh Rasmussen handled the situation in an excellent way, because he is competent, and that is the reason why I support him.
If Anders Fogh Rasmussen is rejected, as the Danes have been twice before, I suggest Scandinavia, the Baltic states, Northern Europe, and former Eastern Europe, should join Russia militarily, because Russia is not communist anymore, and we share a common history and mentality.
In Northern and Northwest Europe, we are in many aspects closer to the democratic Russia of today, than to the new Muslim dominated Southern and Central European states.

Nam prudentia carnis mors, prudentia autem Spiritus vita et pax. (Romans 8:6)
In her latest column in Jerusalem Post, Caroline Glick writes: "Now, as Europe, the US and regional actors are all making clear, Israel must accept that its own right to exist is contingent on the establishment of a Palestinian state - regardless of its character or the identity of the Palestinian leadership. That is, if Israel doesn't accept the legitimacy of a Hamas or Fatah-ruled Palestinian terror state in Judea, Samaria, Jerusalem and Gaza, then it has no right to exist".
My personal opinion is that Israel not should let other states dictate Israel's future.
I agree with Caroline Glick, that the disastrous two-state failure the EU and the West want to ram down Israel's throat, only will destabilize Israel's security.
Israel has faced and survived adversities since its birth and will also survive this one.
As Israel has unconditional rights to its territory, it is incomprehensible why the West and the EU support that ultimate Trojan Horse - a Palestinian state.
Israel is in fact a nation hovering on the brink of destruction.
Glick said that "on Wednesday, for instance, Blair threatened, 'There is no alternative to a two-state solution, except the one-state solution. And if there is a one-state solution, there's going to be a big fight' ".
Belgian Foreign Minister Karel De Gucht has reportedly also called for Europe to open ties with Hamas.
Israel is in other words headed for hell in a hand basket.
Czech Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg, whose country holds the rotating EU Presidency, reportedly summed up EU's approach by saying, "There won't be any progress in relations between Israel and the European Union until the Israeli government clarifies its stance on the creation of a Palestinian state".
Glick said as the Jerusalem Post reported on Thursday, Europe's diplomatic courtship of the Iranian-sponsored genocidal terror group Hamas is being spearheaded by Sweden and Switzerland. But they are far from alone. Britain's Foreign Minister David Miliband has in recent weeks openly called for recognizing Hamas.
Last Friday, in anticipation of the swearing in of the new Netanyahu government, EU foreign ministers met in Prague, and diplomats decided to cancel the Israel-EU summit now scheduled for late May until Israel has bowed to Europe's demand.
But it is the EU, which should bow to Israel's reasonable demands.
The EU and the US says, if Israel doesn't accept the legitimacy of a Hamas or Fatah-ruled Palestinian terror state in Judea, Samaria, Jerusalem and Gaza, then it has no right to exist. However, facts and experience from 1948, 1956, 1968, 1973 and now from Gaza show, that if Israel accepts a Hamas or Fatah-ruled Palestinian terror state in Judea, Samaria, Jerusalem and if it accepts in addition to that Syria on Golan heights, then it will have to fight again for its very survival.
Israel long-term will either win or lose. It cannot indefinitely rule over Arabs without giving them the vote, which is suicidal, as is a "two-state solution".
To win, Israel must empty the territories of Arabs, compare with Galatians 4:30.
In its catastrophic state of affairs, Israel's international position has been harmed rather than advanced by its willingness to compromise its positions and accept those of its Palestinian adversaries.
Glick concludes: "For the Palestinians then, and for supporters of the two-state paradigm like Blair and his European and American cohorts, it is Israel's existence, not the existence of the Palestinian state, that is conditional".
However, remember that the Lord God of Israel is in full control of the situation, and His fury is directed against those nations, which harbor evil intentions against Israel.
Do not expect God to bail out now.

Verumtamen inimicos meos illos, qui noluerunt me regnare super se, adducite huc et interficite ante me. (Luke 19:27)
Telegraph reports North Korea has developed and deployed multiple nuclear warheads that can be attached to medium-range Rodong missiles, according to a Seoul-based defense analyst.
North Korea's deployment of nuclear weapons will heighten tensions in the region, already strained due to Pyongyang's determination to go ahead with the launch of what it claims is a rocket carrying an experimental satellite.
The launch of the North Korean long-range rocket is scheduled to take place between April 4 and 8.
According to FOXNews, North Korea's military on Thursday threatened immediate retaliation if "even the slightest effort" is made to intercept the long-range rocket it has begun fueling and that it plans to launch in the next few days.
North Korea's communist leaders have great ambitions for a place in the world's nuclear theater.
But Japan has of course every right to defend herself and her airspace as she sees fit.

Propter hoc dimittet homo patrem et matrem et adherebit uxori suae, et erunt duo in carne una. (Matthew 19:5)
BBC reports Sweden will allow gay couples to be legally married from next month.
Sweden was one of the first countries to give gay couples legal "partnership" rights, in the mid-1990s, and allowed them to adopt children from 2002.
The Swedish Parliament voted overwhelmingly on Wednesday to recognize same-sex marriage.
The law was passed by 226 votes to 22 and will come into force on 1 May.
Sweden has become the fifth European country, after the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, and Norway, to recognize same-sex marriage.
Elsewhere, Canada, and South Africa have also passed such legislation, as have some US states, and local authorities in other countries.
The new law lets homosexuals wed in either a civil or religious ceremony.
Personally I think gay marriage not should be regarded as a civil rights issue, but as a health care issue.
I also agree with Pope Benedict XVI, when he says humanity must "listen to the language of creation", and "understand the intended roles of man and woman".
"An nescitis quia iniqui regnum Dei non possidebunt? Nolite errare: neque fornicarii neque idolis servientes neque adulteri neque molles neque masculorum concubitores neque fures neque avari, non ebriosi, non maledici, non rapaces regnum Dei possidebunt", 1 Corinthians 6:9 - 10.

Multilingualism means both enrichment and loss.
People speak, think, and write, in their respective mother tongues.
The language you speak reflects your identity.
Not all legislators, politicians, or scientists, have English as their mother tongue.
Any person will in their mother tongue achieve a confidence of style and nuance, which is virtually impossible to attain in a second learned foreign language.
I recommend therefore people to use their mother tongues.
America's power comes from the use of a single official language.
In Europe we have great problems understanding one another.
But English is simply not enough for businesses and competitiveness.
I believe that languages can be compared.
There is however a not all that large group of languages in the contemporary world, which have on the whole proven useful for the various demands.
And modern language use concerns no longer only a certain geographical area.
Advantages demand efforts.
I am Swedish, but less than 1 percent of all blogs are in Swedish.
Since I want to keep my readers, followers, and friends, I will continue to blog in English.
Europe's problems stem from the great variety of languages.
And the EU spends 1 percent of its annual budget on translations services alone.
Multilingualism means both enrichment and loss.
A translated copy of a text will never reflect the sentiment of the original text, but it will bring in new elements.
Language is about leadership, and leadership is the battle for hearts and minds, and for the support of Jews and Greeks.
There are beautiful languages such as Italian.
Multilingual speakers nowadays outnumber monolingual speakers in the world's population.
Monoglottism is the condition of being able to speak only a single language.
Persons living in the Anglosphere, or in the French or Spanish speaking world, are overall the best examples of peoples lacking the ability to speak several languages.
I hope we all one day will share a common beautiful and exact mother tongue, and a cultural heritage we can be proud of.
I suggest Latin, and especially for the EU, as Latin forms part of EU's historical identity.
Latin will become the future dominating world language.
But the world faces a future of multilingual people speaking more than one language, and rather than the Latin language having the global field to itself, many persons will become bilingual and even multilingual, just as it is prophesied in Mark 16:17, and Revelation 5:9.

Audituri enim estis proelia et opiniones proeliorum. Videte, ne turbemini; oportet enim haec fieri, sed nondum est finis. (Matthew 24:6)
Japan prepares to blast North Korean missile out of the sky, according to The Christian Science Monitor.
At the same time Bloomberg reports North Korea’s government vowed to wage war against Japan, if Japanese defense forces try to shoot down the missile, that the communist nation says will carry a communications satellite.
Japan does not have atomic weapons and is the only country to have nuclear armaments used against it, during World War II.
North Korea tested an atomic weapon in 2006 in the Korean peninsula's first nuclear detonation, and the launch of this multi-stage long-range rocket is scheduled for sometime between April 4 and 8.
The North Korean Central News Agency said: "Should Japan dare recklessly to intercept the DPRK’s satellite, its army will consider this as the start of Japan’s war of reinvasion more than six decades after the Second World War".
U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said North Korea's rhetoric toward Japan "regarding the Japanese right to defend itself", is an "unfortunate and continuing example of provocation".
U.S. Defense Secretary Robert Gates on March 29 called the launch "a mask" for development of an intercontinental ballistic missile by North Korea.
Benjamin Chang, a spokesman for the National Security Council at the White House, said North Korea's "belligerent rhetoric towards its neighbors is unhelpful and counterproductive".
The head of U.S. forces in Korea, Army General Walter Sharp, said that cash-strapped North Korea is the world’s top supplier of ballistic missile technology to potential U.S. adversaries such as Iran and Syria.
Sharp said North Korea "views its ballistic missile programs as a source of prestige, a strategic deterrent, a means of exerting regional influence and a source of hard currency".
In my opinion the Western world must stand by Japan, and encourage Japan to shoot down the North Korean long-range rocket.

Jews are now angry after Brazilian Archbishop slams Holocaust "Propaganda".
According to Beliefnet, Jewish groups are outraged after a Catholic Archbishop in Brazil downplayed Jewish suffering in the Holocaust, which he said had been exaggerated by Jewish "propaganda".
Archbishop Dadeus Grings of Porto Alegre, Brazil, said in an interview published Friday: "The Jews call themselves the main victims of the Holocaust. But the main victims were Gypsies. They were exterminated".
Archbishop Dadeus Grings continued: "They do not speak about that. The Jews have the propaganda of the world".
Grings also told the Brazilian trade publication Press & Advertising that Catholics suffered "much more" than Jews in the Holocaust.
Grings said: "The Jews speak of 6 million dead. The Nazis killed more than 20 million people. You compare".
Grings' comments came two months after Pope Benedict XVI set off an international furor by lifting the 1988 excommunications of four ultra-traditionalist Bishops in an effort to reconcile with their schismatic group.
Jewish organizations were outraged after one of the Bishops, Richard Williamson, told Swedish television that no more than 300.000 Jews "perished in Nazi concentration camps ... not one of them by gassing in a gas chamber".
Unlike Williamson, who was ordained a Bishop without permission of the Vatican and who is still not authorized to exercise his office, Grings is a Bishop in good standing.
Grings has served as Archbishop of Porto Alegre, a diocese of 2.5 million Catholics, since 2001.
Why do Catholic Archbishops and Bishops make these antisemitic statements?
Who benefits from these outrageous remarks, made by top-level Catholic clergy?
Is antisemitism part of modern Catholic Church doctrine?
Jewish leaders in Brazil and elsewhere denounced Grings' remarks.
Abraham H. Foxman, national director of the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), said in a statement: "The Church must take strong and public action against these Holocaust deniers who represent the Catholic Church to the world".
Foxman continued: "It is especially important that Pope Benedict make it clear that there will be consequences for those clergy who engage in Holocaust denial".
The Vatican has not issued an official statement on the matter.
The Rev. Federico Lombardi, director of the Holy See Press Office, did not respond to a request for comment late Tuesday.
I can agree with Brazilian Archbishop Dadeus Grings that the Jews were not the only ones who suffered during World War II.
However, I think the comment of the Catholic Archbishop is very inappropriate, and also shows a very high degree of bad judgment.
When Archbishop Grings furthermore says that: "The Jews have the propaganda of the world", then it is clear that antisemitism nowadays seems to be part of the official tradition and doctrine of the Catholic Church.
When Bishop Richard Williamson recently said that not a single Jew perished in a gas chamber, I sensed that Bishop Williamson would not have expressed his view unless he was sure it was the official view of the Catholic Church and of maybe a majority of Cardinals, Archbishops, and Bishops of the Catholic Church.
So I am not really surprised that we now have a Brazilian Archbishop, who says the Holocaust is part of Jewish propaganda in the world.
I expect some Cardinals too soon will step forward to defend Grings' and Williamson's antisemitic remarks.
This means that the Catholic Church is in real trouble.
I am convinced that Pope Benedict XVI is a good man.
When the Pope visits the Holy Land in May I think it will be a perfect opportunity to bring peace and reconciliation between Catholics and Jews.
Pope Benedict XVI's visit to Israel will be the right occasion to express that remarks like those of Bishop Williamson and Archbishop Grings do not represent the official view of the Catholic Church.
We are many Christians around the world, who feel very concerned about the latest Holocaust remarks from different Catholic Archbishops and Bishops.
It is about time Pope Benedict XVI declares that no more antisemitism will be tolerated within the Catholic Church.
Jesus said: "Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again", see John 10:17 - 18.

The Local reports that the Muslim Association of Sweden (SMF) has renewed calls for the legalization of religious slaughter practices such as halal.
Halal slaughter involves hanging the beast upside down by its hind legs, then slitting its throat and allowing it to bleed to death frightened and in pain.
I refuse to describe halal as a religious practice, because it is the most disgusting animal cruelty a satanic mind ever invented.
The Bible is clear about animals having a soul and animals going to heaven.
We humans must be responsible beings, who take good care of our creatures, without taking advantage of beasts' lack of understanding to torture them to death.
I am not a vegetarian, because we humans need to eat meat. Meat is good for us, for our health, and it is also delicious.
It is also in the human nature to hunt and kill for food.
But we should not deliberately torture animals to death, we can slaughter and eat in more appropriate and civilized manners.
"A righteous man regardeth the life of his beast: but the tender mercies of the wicked are cruel", see Proverbs 12:10.
The Muslims are correct that a few years ago they were only 20 people in Sweden, and that they now are over a half million there.
But this generosity and hospitality of the Swedish people, should nevertheless not permit some Muslims to abuse and destroy the civilized legal system of Sweden by some medieval rules invented in a desert somewhere far away long ago.
Animals, which must be slaughtered, have also rights.
If I were a cow, I would want a Christian as my master.
And, would it be heaven for a cowboy without horses?
