Terraemotus magni erunt per loca et pestilentiae et fames terroresque de caelo et signa magna erunt. (Luke 21:11)
Nine mystery silver discs can be seen above a bookmaker's shop in an image of Bethnal Green, East London, taken last year, according to Telegraph.
They appear to be flying in neat formation in three rows, attracting the attention of several passers-by, in the photograph of Wolverley Street.
The Telegraph reports one man can be seen craning his neck to look at the unidentified objects passing overhead as he strolls down the road.
It is the latest in a series of bizarre apparitions caught on camera since the British version of the Street View service was launched.
Residents of Wolverley Street were perplexed by the sighting.
The Sun reader Faye Sharpe, 18, discovered them while viewing her neighborhood of Wolverley Street in Bethnal Green, East London.
Faye said: "I was checking out the road to see if I could spot my mates. I thought it looked very strange and zoomed in".
Faye continued: "I thought it was some planes but they look pretty close together for that. Maybe they are UFOs".
Baffled ufologist Nick Pope said he was "very excited" by the image, which he labelled "truly fascinating".
Pope, who used to investigate sightings for the Ministry of Defense, said: "I’ve run through the list of possibilities that normally explain these things, but I can’t find an answer".
The Sun visited the street to talk to locals about the mysterious find.
Holly Riding, 19, said: "It’s definitely weird".
Karishma Daswani, 22, added: "The fact that they are flying in formation is very strange".
Oriele Calvert, 44, said: "This is definitely the strangest thing I’ve ever seen in Bethnal Green".
The East London UFOs remain a mystery.

Et scimus quoniam Filius Dei venit et dedit nobis sensum, ut cognoscamus verum Deum; et simus in vero Filio eius. Hic est verus Deus et vita aeterna. (1 John 5:20)
The question of whether Satan exists is one of the most contentious theological debates possible, and last week four fascinating, polarizing people from around the country convened in Seattle to tackle that topic in the third "Nightline" Face-Off.
The Face-Off was hosted by ABC at Mars Hill Church, and the Church's Pastor, Marc Driscoll, argued that Satan does exist.
Of course Satan does exist!
Driscoll's teammate for the evening was Annie Lobert, who arrived in Seattle from her home in Las Vegas.
Lobert said: "I don't have a theologian background, but I have 16 years of experience of walking with the Devil so I know he's real for sure".
Lobert is a former prostitute who says she used to see the Devil in the eyes of her johns. Her organization, Hookers for Jesus, ministers to sex workers.
Lobert said: "When people don't believe the devil is real, I feel, my opinion is, they are deceived".
On the other side of the debate was Bishop Carlton Pearson, a former fundamentalist Preacher who says he used to cast demons out of his followers, but he no longer believed in the devil or hell.
Well, the New Testament is very clear that devils exist and that we have power over them, to cast them out in the name of Jesus, see Mark 16:17.
Arguing alongside Bishop Pearson was Dr. Deepak Chopra, a physician and best selling author of dozens of books and videos on health and spirituality.
Chopra said: "My position is that we have a huge problem with what people call evil in the world and they need a good rational explanation and not an irrational mythical explanation".
"Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ", see Colossians 2:8.
Annie Lobert made the best appearance on the show. And she told she had been attacked by demons. I believe her.
Lobert said: "The only way I could see God, was to know that the devil was real".
In the debate if Satan exist I think too much emphasize was put on words like "atmosphere", "inner Spirit", "trauma", etc.
Myself I hardly ever go to Church, because I don't need it.
I have experienced God, and I have experienced Satan, and that is enough for me.
I know Jesus is God, see 1 John 5:20, and I know Satan will exist just a little while more, see Revelation 17:11.
I think all this talk about "atmosphere" and "trauma", in connection with Satan, was pure nonsense.
1 John 4:4 states: "greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world".
What happened to me once in the early seventies was that I sat on my bed during the afternoon in my room, at my parents home and read a book.
I was about 13 years old. It was maybe 2 o'clock in the afternoon, and I think I did my homework.
I was absolutely alone in my room, I had the door to my room closed, and the sun was shining ouside.
Suddenly something or someone punched me hard on my head.
I got beaten by something, and I was absolutely not sleeping, and I was not on medication or anything like that.
I was 100 % sober.
Satan is not anything inside you.
Satan is outside of you, and he will hit you like a train, without you being able to see him.
This is what Satan is to me.
Satan is not some inner Spirit, which whispers something nice but false to you.
But Satan is an invisible being, who hits you in your face or in your head, and who is outside of you, compare with Luke 22:3.
Satan is someone who beats you up, and throws you to the floor.
1 John 5:18 says: "We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not".
But anyway, the wicked one hit me. I don't know if I was born of God. But I have no other God than Jesus Christ.
My mother was a very nice woman, even if the number of her name was 666, according to Latin Gematria.
I feel Jesus Christ is thankful, for me putting Him first, and for me recognizing that He is God.

Nos scimus quoniam translati sumus de morte in vitam, quoniam diligimus fratres; qui non diligit, manet in morte. (1 John 3:14)
At least 22 people have died, and 132 are injured, in a crush at a football stadium during a World Cup qualifier in Ivory Coast, according to BBC.
Fans panicked after a wall collapsed at the Houphouet-Boigny arena in the West African country's largest city of Abidjan.
BBC's correspondent says the authorities tried in vain to control the panicking crowd. One report said the police had fired tear gas to control the stampeding fans.
The stadium was packed for the return of Chelsea striker Didier Drogba, who scored twice.
As many as 50.000 spectators were in the stadium, where hosts Ivory Coast beat Malawi 5-0.
The Ministry of Sport and the Ivorian Football Federation have confirmed the number of deaths and say the incident occurred when thousands of fans tried to squeeze into the city's main stadium.
The incident occurred before the game began but the fixture was allowed to go ahead.
The stadium was reportedly sold out in advance of the game after cut-price tickets were put on sale.
The arena has just been refurbished, but at this stage it seems the sheer number of people who wanted to get into the match proved too much.
Soccer is a wonderful sport, and the most widely played professional sport in the world.
At the same time soccer fans are the best fans in the world, so this is an immense tragedy.

Liberati autem a peccato servi facti estis iustitiae. (Romans 6:18)
According to Christian Today three Christians in Iran have been found guilty of propagating the Gospel and of "cooperation with anti-government movements".
The three were arrested at Shiraz airport on their way to a Christian conference in Dubai. Their families managed to escape charges by posting a bond with the government, according to the Farsi Christian News Network (FCNN).
The judge of the Shiraz revolutionary court sentenced the three men to eight months suspended prison sentence and five years on probation.
One of the charges brought against the men was "cooperating with anti-government movements". According to FCNN, these "movements" were the Christian TV stations Love Television and Salvation TV.
Passing their sentence, the judge warned that if any of the men were discovered spreading the Gospel again their suspended sentence would be enforced and they would be arrested and tried for apostasy.
It is clear that Law and Order have different meanings in different countries.

Daily Star reports Michelle Ryan is being lined up to play tragic Jade Goody in a film of her life.
The 24-year-old ex-EastEnder, who appeared in US show The Bionic Woman in 2007, is top of the list to star in the biographical movie.
The film, which could net millions, will focus on Jade’s meteoric rise to stardom, beginning with her tough upbringing on a council estate in south-east London.
It will follow her through the years of being a dental nurse, applying for Big Brother and later bagging TV deals, writing books and getting her own perfume.
It will have the saddest of endings, with her bittersweet wedding to Jack Tweed and her christening alongside sons Bobby, five, and Freddy, four.
Film producers say her story is sure to be a blockbuster after she won the hearts of the British public in her seven years of fame.
Close pal Danny Hayward, who is a trustee of Jade’s estate, said: "Her story lends itself to a biographical film. She has captured the mood of the nation. We want to tap into raising awareness of cervical cancer".
Last night Jade’s publicist Max Clifford, 65, said: "She is a story of our time - a girl from Bermondsey who admitted she had no talent, a limited education and suffered a dreadful childhood. Yet she’s world-famous".
Meanwhile, comic Russell Brand posted a heartfelt tribute to Jade on his website yesterday.
The 33-year-old posted a lengthy dedication to the reality star, dubbing her the "Primark Princess".
Brand praised her "easy warmth that ingenuously enveloped folk".
Brand wrote: "Jade was a tough girl but utterly lacking in the malice upon which true prejudice depends. I hope some of the lessons of this modern fairytale are learned, that the people who aspired to be like Jade observe the price she paid".
Myself I remember I had a beautiful neighbor more than 10 years ago, who was diagnosticed with cancer.
Three weeks after she was diagnosticed with cancer she died, only 33 years old. She was always happy, positive, and smiling.
Cancer is a terrible disease.

In 2001 Eritrea closed down its free press.
Long held in secret Eritrean jail, Swedish citizen and journalist Dawit Isaak has today been jailed for 2743 days. Without charge and without any sentence.
His crime? Dawit Isaak wrote and published articles on the need for democracy and freedom in Eritrea in the newspaper Setit.
On September 23, 2001 he was arrested and imprisoned in connection with the Eritrean government shutting down the country's independent newspapers.
The Swedish authorities' attitude to the case is characterized by silence. They refer to the method of "quiet diplomacy".
So far, this method has yielded few results.
Now is the time for the Swedish government to start working actively for Dawit Isaak's release.
Dawit Isaak's children are growing up in Gothenburg, Sweden, but without a father.
The two oldest children have finished both primary school and most of secondary school without their father.
Isaak's youngest daughter is now ten years old and has lived almost her entire life with only vague memories of her father.
There are around 150 journalists imprisoned around the world today.
Dawit Isaak is one of them, and the only Swedish citizen currently in prison without trial for having exercized freedom of speech.
Isaak is also the only Swedish citizen adopted as a "prisoner of conscience" by Amnesty International.
Sweden sends annually millions to Eritrea in government aid and support. This sum was recently increased.
Why should Sweden and EU send money to and support undemocratic governments like that in Eritrea, which imprisons journalists in secret jails?
EU's aid continues to reward dictatorships, and Eritrea is a military dictatorship without human rights.
Yet, the EU plans to send more money to Eritrea, and announced last year it will increase its support to the Eritrean government from 88 to 115 million Euro.
Eritrean authorities must provide information as to the whereabouts of Dawit Isaak.
It is time to increase pressure on Eritrea to free their imprisoned journalist Dawit Isaak, by stopping the EU's aid to the country.

On his blog American Power, my friend Donald Douglas comments President Obama's White House Press conference on Afghanistan.
Donald writes: "This is the most encouraging speech I've heard from this president. The U.S. will reinforce the deployment with increased troop contingents and the administration will redouble civilian nation-building efforts and regional diplomacy. But the most important point here is the tone: Obama sounds tough. He speaks of the virtues of hard military power, for example, when he says, 'There is an uncompromising core of the Taliban. They must be met with force, and they must be defeated' ".
I am myself very impressed with President Obama's speech.
He sounds clear and resolute.
He means business, and I made a comment of my own concerning this earlier today.
The U.S. President starts to find his game, and that is excellent.
With good economic advisors Obama's Presidency could be a success.
If he only could lower the taxes, especially for those who already pay the most taxes today, and if he could push more for free trade and deregulations.
America has the world's best businessmen.
When Obama realizes that, he doesn't have to act as a protectionist and stop them from doing business globally.
Then the world economy will be fine and we will have growth.

Kim Clijsters will return to professional tennis after two years in retirement, the Belgian confirmed at a press conference on Thursday.
Clijsters said she has regained the competitive hunger that led to the No. 1 ranking.
The 25-year-old will make her comeback in Cincinnati in August and is expected to be handed a wild card for that month's US Open, according to CNN.
Clijsters, who retired in May 2007 and became a mother last year, will play in an exhibition event at Wimbledon in May, as Tim Henman's doubles partner, but will not return to grand slam tennis until New York - where she won in 2005.
Clijsters and Henman will play the husband-and-wife team of Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf at Wimbledon on May 17, when the new Centre Court roof will be tested.
As well as playing at Cincinnati, Clijsters also intends to enter Toronto before the US Open which begins on August 31 at Flushing Meadows.
Clijsters revealed it was the challenge of preparing for her Wimbledon date which convinced her to make a full-scale comeback.
Clijsters said: "It all started with preparing for the gala match at Wimbledon, all pretty laid-back. I liked it that much, I was onto my training schedule from my pro days - the hunger for more comes automatically".
Clijsters continued: "I am looking at this as a second career, not as a comeback as I am now in a situation where not everything revolves around tennis 24 hours a day. We'll see how I, (daughter) Jada, and the others in my environment respond to this".
Clijsters and her fellow-Belgian Justine Henin, who quit the game in 2008 at a time when she was on top of the world rankings, were serious rivals to the once-dominant Williams sisters.
Now Clijsters hopes to rediscover the form which ensured she had a regular presence in the semifinals and finals of grand slams.
She stated she hoped to be back on top "as quickly as possible", adding: "But it will depend on how well I can find the rhythm to my game".
Kim Clijsters is an excellent athlete and an outstanding tennis player, to whom I wish a successful comeback.

Breitbart has the news that President Barack Obama has declared that the United States must "disrupt, defeat and dismantle" the al-Qaida terrorist organization and the Taliban in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
President Obama has already approved sending 17.000 additional combat troops to Afghanistan, and is ready to announce another 4.000 to go there.
Obama said that it is important for the American people to understand that Pakistan "needs our help" in going after terrorists.
Obama called the situation in Afghanistan "increasingly perilous".
Obama said that if the Afghan government falls to the Taliban or allows al-Qaida to go unchallenged, "that country will be a base for terrorists who want to kill us".
President Obama is correct.
The enemies of the United States want to destroy America.
And if America is destroyed, the rest of the West will also be destroyed.
I am happy that President Obama seems to understand that.
The best way to get rid of the terrorists is to introduce democracy, freedom, and equality between the sexes globally.
All countries all over the world should be able to enjoy democracy.
And women all over the world should have equal chances concerning education and to all business, political, and religious positions, as it is written: "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus", see Galatians 3:28.

UN News Centre reports Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon says: "As the economic crisis engulfing the world continues to intensify, it could potentially herald political instability and social unrest".
Ban Ki-moon calls for a four-pronged strategy to prevent the onset of new catastrophes.
Following a meeting with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, Ban Ki-moon told reporters in New York: "The financial turmoil cannot roll back gains made towards achieving the global anti-poverty targets with a 2015 deadline known as the Millennium Development Goals".
Ban said: "Social recovery will take much longer than economic recovery. A child taken out of school today will bear the consequences for the rest of his or her life".
The Secretary-General said he outlined a four-point proposal for the G-20 nations – which he has also relayed in a letter to their leaders – during his talks with Gordon Brown.
Ban said, firstly, in addition to their own stimulus packages, G-20 nations should commit to support a global stimulus plan, which must be "of a very substantial size, commensurate with the challenge". This package must include assistance for the poorest and most vulnerable countries, long-term public lending from development banks and cash aid to both least-developed and middle-income developing countries.
Ban also stressed the need to firmly reject protectionism and revive the Doha round of trade liberalization negotiations to allow real benefits to reach developing nations.
Another element of Ban's plan is the 'greening' of the global economy, including in poorer countries, with G-20 leaders committing to conclude negotiations and reach agreement on an ambitious successor pact to the Kyoto Protocol, whose first commitment period ends in 2012, in Copenhagen this December.
Lastly, the Secretary-General highlighted the importance of reforming "global rules and institutions so that they reflect today’s economic and political landscape".
He voiced hope that the upcoming G-20 "Summit for Stability, Growth and Jobs" can send a "signal of solidarity and hope to all peoples and countries of the world".

Nunc autem Christus resurrexit a mortuis, primitiae dormientium. (1 Corinthians 15:20)
The President of the European Union, Mirek Topolanek, on Wednesday ripped the Obama administration's economic policies, calling its deficit spending and bank bailouts "a road to hell", according to Washington Post.
In an address to the European Parliament in Strasbourg, France, Topolanek abandoned diplomatic niceties and blasted Washington for approving a $787 billion economic stimulus package, which he said encouraged "protectionist" trade policies.
Topolanek said the overall U.S. strategy for ending the recession would flood global markets with too many dollars and lead to bigger problems.
Topolanek said: "All of these steps, these combinations and permanency, is the road to hell. The United States did not take the right path".
Topolanek's critique came one day after his government was toppled by a no-confidence vote by opposition lawmakers in the Czech Parliament.
Although Topolanek will remain Prime Minister for the time being, his shaky position at home raised questions about whether he could remain effective as the E.U. President until his country's six-month term expires at the end of June.
European leaders seem to impose greater regulation and oversight on global financial markets, whilst the U.S. administration puts its trust on more government spending.
Martin Schultz, a German legislator and the leader of the Socialist bloc in the European Parliament blasted Topolanek: "You still haven't understood what the job of the E.U. Presidency is".
As for me I think Topolanek is both courageous and right.
We must lower our taxes in order to create growth in our economy.
We have too much government spending, subsidies, and bailouts given out to incompetent and mismanaged companies, which manufacture expensive low quality products no one wants.
This is the right time to stop this madness, because we cannot afford it any longer.
I never thought I would experience a E.U. President, who would blast the U.S. President for socialist policies and too much government spending!
But now it has happened.
It is true that I was a bit of a sceptic regarding E.U. President Mirek Topolanek before he started his E.U. Presidency, but overall he is doing a great job.
Frank and straightforward talk, and constructive criticizm, where a better solution to an existing problem is presented, is always healthy.
The U.S. remains E.U.'s closest friend and ally. Nothing will change that.

Daily Mail reports the global financial crisis could lead to social unrest and even war, the head of the International Monetary Fund, Dominique Strauss-Kahn, warned.
Strauss-Kahn said that the billions already pumped into the world economy risked disappearing into thin air unless there is massive reform of the financial sector.
At a meeting of the International Labour Organisation, Strauss-Kahn warned that the global economic crisis is "dire" with the threat of millions being pushed into poverty.
The managing director of the global financial watchdog went on to warn governments against ploughing yet more fiscal stimulus into their ailing economies.
Strauss-Kahn said: "You can put in as much stimulus as you want. It will just melt in the sun as snow if at the same time you are not able to have a generally smaller financial sector than before but a healthy financial sector at work".
The IMF has called on countries to pump two per cent of their gross domestic product into their economies in an attempt to reverse the global downturn.
Of the international situation, Strauss-Kahn added: "Bluntly the situation is dire. All this will affect dramatically unemployment and beyond unemployment for many countries it will be at the roots of social unrest, some threat to democracy, and maybe for some cases it can also end in war".
The global financial crisis sweeping through Wall Street and the European banking sector will touch the lives of the world's most vulnerable and push millions into deeper poverty.
But the current financial meltdown will also lead to a global currency, a one world economic system, and more widespread income inequality.

Dicit illis Iesus: "Amen dico vobis quia publicani et meretrices praecedunt vos in regno Dei". (Matthew 21:31)
Is Satan a religious fable, or an actual being wreaking havoc in the world?
WorldNetDaily reports the question if Satan is for real was debated by four unusual suspects - one megachurch Pastor, one former television Preacher branded by some as a heretic, the alternative medicine guru Deepak Chopra, and Annie Lobert, see picture above, the founder of Hookers For Jesus.
The Satan discussion will be the latest in a series of "Face Off" debates created by ABC TV's late-night news program, Nightline, and will air March 26.
The debate is hosted by ABC anchor and correspondent Dan Harris, who told the Post-Intelligencer he welcomed the opportunity to hold the discussion in Seattle, rather than a remote corner of the Bible Belt.
Harris said: "It's good to do it in a non-obvious place. It's going to be harder for people to write it off. It's going to be harder to dismiss it as the usual cliché dialogue".
Mark Driscoll is the preaching Pastor at the Seattle-area Mars Hill Church, a congregation that welcomes 7.500 people in attendance each week and that hosted the debate.
Driscoll wrote in an e-mail reported by the Seattle Post-Intelligencer: "The existence of God has been debated many times. But (a discussion about) the existence of Satan is far less common, which makes it a curious topic to debate".
Driscoll is joined in arguing for the existence of Satan by Annie Lobert, a former Las Vegas escort who founded Hookers for Jesus, an organization that offers a Christian message and Ministry to women in the sex trade.
Arguing against an actual evil-embodying being are Chopra and the Rev. Carlton Pearson, a formerly televised Preacher on Trinity Broadcasting Network and author of "The Gospel of Inclusion", a book outlining a doctrine of universal reconciliation to God that prompted the Joint College of African-American Pentecostal Bishops to brand him a heretic for denying traditional Christian understandings of heaven and hell.
James Goldston, the show's executive producer, told the Seattle Times, "We went for the most interesting voices we could find".
Driscoll told the paper that the curious lineup - a diverse group of people outside the world of theology's hallowed halls - helps ensure that "this is not just an academic debate but also a practical discourse".
Goldston told the Times that a debate about Satan is not just a theological curiosity for Christians.
Goldston said: "There's always an interest in these topics. Every time we've done one, the response has been pretty dramatic".
Driscoll believes that Satan is an actual spirit at work in the world for evil, identified clearly in the Bible and evidenced in the world around us.
Driscoll wrote in an e-mail: "In my own pastoral experience I have witnessed such great evil and injustice so often that no answer but the existence of a real enemy to good and life makes any sense to me".
Pearson does not believe Satan is an actual being and told the Times that belief in an actual devil "makes us helpless, paranoid and frightened".
Rev. Carlton Pearson is wrong concerning this, and I do not agree with him.
Pearson said: "I've heard: 'The devil made me do it'. Don't put that on the devil. You made that stupid decision yourself. Let's talk about why you made it".
The Bible is quite clear that God is a Spirit, see John 4:24. Now, the Devil is a Spirit as well, see Ephesians 6:12.
But if God could not put on flesh on His Spirit, He would not exist, compare with 1 Timothy 3:16.
Likewise, if Satan cannot put on flesh on his evil Spirit, becoming the Antichrist, he would not exist, compare with Revelation 12:9.
All this explains that Jesus is God incarnate, see Romans 9:5, Titus 2:13, and 1 John 5:20.

Et sicut non probaverunt Deum habere in notitia, tradidit eos Deus in reprobum sensum, ut faciant, quae non conveniunt. (Romans 1:28)
Christian Today reports a gay group has condemned the decision to allow only Christian weddings at the Castle of Mey, the former home of the late Queen Mother.
The trust which runs the Scottish castle has opened up the venue to "Christian weddings" in order to help pay for the upkeep of the location.
"Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD", see Proverbs 18:22.
Gay rights group Outrage said that the decision was "ridiculous" and said that it appeared to be illegal under current legislation against discrimination.
"Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies", see Proverbs 31:10.
The trust, which has Prince Charles as its President, says it is not acting outside of the law as the venue does not have a wedding licence.
According to legislation, only Christian weddings can be legally performed there as Priests and Ministers are individually licensed to conduct the ceremonies.
The trust said it would not be holding civil ceremonies either for heterosexual or homosexual couples.
According to The Daily Mail, the trust said, "If we receive an application for a civil ceremony we will not be applying for a licence, the trustees have decided… They have to be Christian weddings performed by a Minister or Priest".
The homosexual and lesbian rights group Outrage claimed the Queen Mother would be "spinning in her grave", according to Telegraph.
"This seems even more ridiculous given that The Queen Mother surrounded herself with gay people - including 'Backstairs' Billy Talon (her devoted servant)", said David Allison spokesman for Outrage.
The castle was the only home owned by the Queen Mother. She was also a regular worshipper at the nearby Canisbay Church of Scotland.
Why should gay rights group Outrage now decide who should be allowed to be married on private property?

At illi dixerunt: "Crede in Domino Iesu et salvus eris tu et domus tua". (Acts 16:31)
Medical condition sexsomnia makes Haley Batty demand sex while she is asleep according to News Of The World.
Batty said she has been dumped by a string of men who got the hump when they asked: "Was it good for you, too?" only to get the response: "Eh?" because she’d been unconscious all night.
Batty sighs: "I can have sex three or four times a night if the guys have the stamina, but in the morning I won’t know a thing about it".
Batty said a boyfriend was upset when she told him she had been fast asleep during his sex marathon: "He completely freaked out. He thought I was mocking his prowess in bed. He told me he never wanted to see me again".
Batty said: "My last boyfriend went along with it the first couple of times, but then he said it just felt peculiar being groped by someone who was asleep and dumped me".
Batty oncluded her behavior is a recognized medical condition: "I discovered the name for it, sexsomnia. It's like a form of sleepwalking, only you don't sleepwalk, you have sex".
Sexsomnia is a medical condition which means Batty can’t help pestering her boyfriends for sex from bedtime till dawn. But she’s asleep all the time - and never remembers a thing in the morning.

Genesis 4:1 states: "And Adam knew Eve his wife", but it never said she knew anything, thus there is no reason to judge her, and compare with Matthew 7:1.

Valentina Pop writes in the EUobserver that the EU on Friday formally launched the Eastern Partnership, a €600 million policy to forge closer political and trade links with six former Soviet countries - Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Saturday 21 March at the Brussels Forum : "We are accused of having spheres of influence. But what is the Eastern Partnership, if not an attempt to extend the EU's sphere of influence, including to Belarus".
Lavrov added that the Czech EU Presidency and the European Commission are putting undue pressure on Belarus by suggesting it might be marginalized if it follows Russia in recognizing the independence of Georgian breakaway regions South Ossetia and Abkhazia.
Lavrov said: "Is this promoting democracy or is it blackmail? It's about pulling countries from the positions they want to take as sovereign states".
Azerbaijan and Georgia are important for the EU's pursuit of alternative gas and oil import routes from the Caspian Sea region. Belarus also hosts a major gas pipeline system.
Lavrov said Russia has special relations with Eastern European countries because of "hundreds of years of common history", and Russia's open labor market.
Sweden, the co-author of the Eastern Partnership project together with Poland, rejected Lavrov's position as "completely unacceptable".
Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt told EUobserver at the Brussels Forum: "The Eastern Partnership is not about spheres of influence. The difference is that these countries themselves opted to join".
Bildt added that the EU's position on Georgia is not 'blackmail' but "is about upholding the principles of the EU and international law, which Russia should also be respecting".
Georgian Minister for Reintegration Temuri Yakobashvili told EUobserver: "The fact that Russia sees the European Partnership as a zero-sum game proves wrong those who believe that giving up NATO aspirations would solve the problems with Moscow. Appeasing Russia will not work".
There are obvious tensions left from the conflict between Russia and Georgia one year ago, and this is the reason why Lavrov not is too happy about the Eastern Partnership policy.
Ukraine's deputy premier Hryhoriy Nemyria has a different view than Georgia and said: "There is a difference, NATO has a huge legacy from the bipolar world of the Cold war, which the EU does not have".
Nemyria continued: "The strategic priority of our country is integration in the EU. This is the way to modernize our country and we welcome the Eastern Partnership policy, because it uses de facto the same instruments as for EU candidates. We know it's not about membership, but membership is also not completely ruled out for the future".
I see two problems.
The first problem is that the EU needs more energy, and suffers from insufficient nuclear capacity.
EU's member states should speed up their building of more nuclear reactors in order to drastically reduce imports of oil and gas from Russia.
The present tension between the EU and Russia is related to Europe's lack of adequate energy policies, and also to Europe's lack of comprehension that Russia not is the closed communist country it used to be.
It is true the EU was not very supportive one year ago, when Russians were attacked by Georgia, so I fully understand the indignation of Russia's Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.
But at the same time Sweden's Foreign Minister Carl Bildt is correct that Eastern European countries themselves must be able to decide if they want more cooperation with the EU.
Eastern Europe is also Europe, and one of EU's tasks is to bring harmony and peace to conflict zones in Europe.
In his excellent blog Carl Bildt explains the positive aspects with the Eastern Partnership, which I also think will facilitate for people to move across the borders.
This leads to the second problem.
Both Georgia and Russia equate the EU with NATO, but for different reasons.
Now, EU is not NATO, but this will hopefully change with a future integration of both Russia and the United States in the EU.
Myself, I hope the EU then one day will be a single country with a common military, where we all have same passports, a common tradition, and where we all can talk to each other using the same language for effective communication.

Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen is gaining momentum to become NATO's new Secretary General, a U.S. official said Saturday, according to Jerusalem Post.
The official said the United States had not yet decided who should replace outgoing NATO chief Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, but that consensus was building in the 26-nation alliance behind Fogh Rasmussen.
The U.S. official spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of negotiations.
France, Germany and Britain have reportedly backed Fogh Rasmussen.
I too agree that Anders Fogh Rasmussen, who also has a blog, is an excellent pick for the job as next NATO chief.

Yahoo News! reports Pope Benedict XVI appealed to the Catholics of Angola on Saturday to reach out to and convert believers in witchcraft who feel threatened by "spirits" and "evil powers" of sorcery.
The Pope said in a homily at Mass: "Today it is up to you, brothers and sisters, following in the footsteps of those heroic and holy heralds of God, to offer the Risen Christ to your fellow citizens. So many of them are living in fear of spirits, of malign and threatening powers. In their bewilderment they end up even condemning street children and the elderly as alleged sorcerers".
Last year, police rescued 40 children who had been held in a house by two religious sects after being accused by their own families of witchcraft. The sects' leaders were later arrested.
The number of diversified sects in the former Portuguese colony has jumped to 900 from just 50 in 1992 - the year the government abandoned Marxism, according to Angola's national institute on religion.
In his homily, the Pope urged Catholics to try to convince those who had left the Church that "Christ has triumphed over death and all those occult powers".
"Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place", see 2 Corinthians 2:14.

Swedish swimmer Therese Alshammar claims the regulations that resulted in her being stripped of a new world record at the Australian championships were bordering on sexist.
Alshammar, the reigning world champion in the 50-meter butterfly, went under her own world record time during a heat at the trials on Tuesday, but was later disqualified when technical delegates discovered she had worn two swimsuits during the race.
Alshammar set a world record of 25.44 in the 50-meter butterfly at the Australian Swimming Championships, shaving 0.02 seconds off her existing world mark, but was disqualified for wearing two swimming suits.
Alshammar raised the question of so-called modesty rules, which allowed male and female swimmers to wear briefs under the lower part of body suits but not the top.
Alshammar said: "I would totally, even though I'm Swedish, understand that a modesty suit would be to cover your modest parts. I guess you can't even wear a modesty suit any more".
The sport's world governing body FINA's executive director Cornel Marculescu said there was no such modesty provision in the world governing body's rules.
Marculescu said: "That means that nothing must be worn underneath. One suit only. That's it".
Marculescu added: "We are not having anything that is open to interpretation any more. One suit means one suit".
Of course it is very sad that one of my own nationals has been stripped of her world record time in the 50-meter butterfly.
But the governing body's rule seems to be clear: Nothing must be worn underneath.
At the ancient olympics the athletes competed naked.
Not much has changed for 2.500 years, because today's hi-tech suits are skin tight and becomes see-through.
But the obedience of a child of God is not measured by what clothing we wear, but by our walk in the Spirit, compare with Galatians 5:16.
The women in the Church used to try to outdo each other in how they dressed, and the flashier the better.
But when the Apostle Paul exhorted women to be clad in a modest covering, see 1 Timothy 2:9, he never meant a prohibition against wearing pants, see 1 Peter 3:3 - 4, but compare with Deuteronomy 22:5.

Deus est enim, qui operatur in vobis et velle et perficere pro bona voluntate. (Philippians 2:13)
Vatican insiders have said the Holy See is struggling to contain international anger over Pope Benedict XVI's claim on his first official visit to Africa that Aids "cannot be overcome through the distribution of condoms, which even aggravates the problems".
The Telegraph reports the Pope's remarks about condoms, and a recent furore over his lifting of the 20-year excommunication of a British Bishop who has questioned the Holocaust, has left him looking isolated and out of touch, prompting calls for a radical shake-up of the way the Holy See delivers its message.
Both the Pope's remarks about condoms, and the lifting of the 20-year excommunication of British bishop Richard Williamson, who is a Holocaust denier, were indeed ill-considered actions.
When Pope Benedict XVI said Aids cannot be overcome with the distribution of condoms which, on the contrary, increase the problem, Laurette Onkelinx, Belgium's Health Minister, said the Pope's comments reflected "a dangerous doctrinary vision".
Eric Chevallier, a spokesman for the French Foreign Ministry, said, according to Daily India in an online briefing: "France voices extremely sharp concern over the consequences of Benedict XVI's comments. While it is not up to us to pass judgment on Church doctrine, we consider that such comments are a threat to public health policies and the duty to protect human life".
The Pope is correct that the use of condoms increase promiscuity. But boys are boys and girls are girls, and condoms save lives.
Another Vatican insider described Pope Benedict's four-year-old Papacy as "a disaster", recalling the Pontiff's previous inflammatory remarks on Islam and homosexuality.
I think everybody agrees with the Pope's remarks on Islam and homosexuality, and I find it refreshing to have a Pope in line with the public opinion on those matters.
"Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints", see Jude 1:3.
But it is true that the Pontiff's message sometimes is confused and also by disagreement within the ranks.
We should however not forget that Pope Benedict XVI in general is doing very well for his age, because he was born in 1927.
Cardinals and Archbishops within the Curia, the Holy See's administration, often appear to be at odds with each other, most recently over the excommunication in Brazil of doctors who performed an abortion on a nine-year-old girl, who had fallen pregnant after being raped by her stepfather.
A senior Vatican figure, Cardinal Giovanni Battista Re, spoke out in favor of the Brazilian Archbishop who announced the excommunication, only to be contradicted a few days later by Archbishop Rino Fisichella, who heads the Vatican's Pontifical Academy for Life.
Most problems in our modern society stem from family problems.
This is why the New Testament requests of Bishops to be married.
"A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach", see 1 Timothy 3:2.

The trip back to Mons, Belgium, via Vienna, Austria, went very smooth.
Now we have no clouds and a sunny and warm Friday morning here in Mons.
I have started my arrangements for my return to Södertälje, Sweden, in April.
The timing for my moving back is excellent, because Sweden assumes the E.U. Presidency from the first of July.

Eum, qui non noverat peccatum, pro nobis peccatum fecit, ut nos efficeremur iustitia Dei in ipso. (2 Corinthians 5:21)
It is a wonderful and sunny morning in Södertälje, Sweden, with spring in the air.
It is already one week ago since I arrived here, but in a few hours I will travel back to Mons, Belgium.
After a week away from my daughter I really look forward to see her again.
When I came to Södertälje a week ago, the landscape was white with a lot of snow, but now most of it has melted away.
It has been a very busy, but entertaining, and interesting week in Sweden.
I am currently negotiating for a position in the Swedish newspaper business, but I have not signed anything yet.
It has been wonderful to see my dear country Sweden again.
I have signed a contract for an apartment here in central Södertälje, and I will move back to my native Sweden next month after having lived nine years in Belgium.
Yesterday afternoon I met with Anne-Marie Larsson, political secretary for the Swedish conservative party, Moderata Samlingspartiet, "Moderaterna", at the City Hall in Södertälje.
We had interesting discussions concerning next years very important Swedish elections, and for my future role in Moderaterna.
I had also the opportunity to meet some of Anne-Marie's political co-workers for Moderaterna in Södertälje.
You can say I have some insights in politics after having worked for nine years in Brussels, Belgium, and I want of course to share my knowledge with Moderaterna, the political party which has the best political agenda, program, and ideology for Sweden.
Yesterday evening I was then invited to dinner to my old friends Per and Lise-Lotte in Stockholm.
From their flat on the height they have a magnificent view of Stockholm City and all the big "Viking Line" ships in the harbor, which go back and forth between Sweden and Finland.
Per showed me a funny film he took when they visited Memphis, Tennessee, and he is probably one of the biggest fans of Elvis Presley on the planet.
In a couple of hours I will check out from my hotel here in Södertälje, but I really yearn to come back to Sweden soon again.
Sweden is indeed a very beautiful country.

USA Today reports at least one city — possibly San Francisco, Miami, Minneapolis, or Cleveland — likely will soon lose its last daily newspaper, analysts say.
And it "could be a lot more widespread than people have been predicting", says Mike Simonton, who tracks media debt for Fitch Ratings.
We need our local newspapers, so let us hope we can avoid local newspaper closings.

Et nos cognovimus et credidimus caritati, quam habet Deus in nobis. Deus caritas est; et, qui manet in caritate, in Deo manet, et Deus in eo. (1 John 4:16)
BBC reports Pope Benedict XVI has said that handing out condoms is not the answer in the fight against HIV/Aids, as he makes his first visit to Africa as Pontiff.
According to Times Online Pope Benedict XVI declared that condoms are not a solution to the Aids epidemic – but are instead part of the problem by making Aids worse.
Instead the Vatican encourages sexual abstinence to fight the spread of the Aids disease.
After his election as Pope, Benedict XVI described Aids as a "a cruel epidemic which not only kills but seriously threatens the economic and social stability of the continent", but reiterated the Vatican ban on the use of condoms.
Pope Benedict XVI said: The solution lies in a "spiritual and human awakening" and "friendship for those who suffer", according to AFP news agency.
Pope Benedict XVI said the "traditional teaching of the Church" on chastity outside marriage and fidelity within it had proved to be "the only sure way of preventing the spread of HIV and Aids".
The WHO has said that "consistent and correct" condom use reduces the risk of HIV infection by 90 per cent.
I do not agree with Pope Benedict XVI that the use of condoms in Africa and elsewhere would aggravate the HIV and Aids problem.
Every day people are dying of Aids.
I think most of us know someone who died because of this terrible disease.
I do not think use of condoms is the only solution to the Aids disease, but the use of condoms clearly reduces the risk of HIV infection, as WHO states.
I also do not believe in sexual abstinence as a method to prevent the Aids disease, because it will only be used by a minority of unattractive or old people, with emotional or psychological disorders regarding the opposite sex.
Maybe the critics are right, who say this is a Vatican conspiracy to kill off the Africans and take over their continent?

Time reports a prominent Israeli scholar, Rachel Elior, has rocked the world of biblical study with her claim that the Essenes, long attributed as the authors of the Dead Sea Scrolls, never existed.
Elior said: "Sixty years of research have been wasted trying to find the Essenes in the scrolls. But they didn't exist. This is legend on a legend".
Early descriptions of the Essenes by Greek and Roman historians has them numbering in the thousands, living communally and forsaking sex - which goes against the Judaic exhortation to "go forth and multiply".
Elior said: "It doesn't make sense that you have thousands of people living against the Jewish law and there's no mention of them in any of the Jewish texts and sources of that period".
So who were the real authors of the Dead Sea Scrolls?
Elior theorizes that the Essenes were really the renegade sons of Zadok, a Priestly caste banished from the Temple of Jerusalem by intriguing Greek rulers in 2nd century B.C.
When they left, they took the source of their wisdom - their scrolls - with them.
Elior said: "In Qumran, the remnants of a huge library were found".
Elior continued: "The scrolls attest to a biblical Priestly heritage".
Some of the early Hebrew texts in the scrolls date back to the 2nd century B.C., and the scrolls were probably hidden in Qumran for safekeeping.
Elior is braced for more criticism of her theory.
Elior said: "Usually my opponents have only read Josephus and the other classical references to the Essenes. They should read the Dead Sea Scrolls — all 39 volumes. The proof is there".
My personal opinion is that Rachel Elior is correct.
Biblical scholars have long argued that the Dead Sea Scrolls were the work of an ascetic and celibate Jewish community known as the Essenes, which flourished in the 1st century A.D. in the scorching desert canyons near the Dead Sea.
I always thought the legend of the Essenes was a fabrication, so it is very refreshing that Elior now confirms this truth for us.

Volo autem vos scire quod omnis viri caput Christus est caput autem mulieris vir caput vero Christi Deus. (1 Corinthians 11:3)
News Of The World reports stunning model Aaliyah has spent three years keeping five megarich love cheats happy at the same time.
The five married men are all in their 40s and get the glamour and thrills they crave playing away.
Money can’t buy you love but professional mistress Aaliyah Johnson reckons she is the next best thing - as long as you have got millions in the bank.
Until now love-juggler Aaliyah, 24, has managed to keep the men in the dark about each other, and their wives in ignorance of her.
Aaliyah confessed to the News of the World: "I’m not fussed about looks - only bank balances".
Aaliyah said: "They get from me what they don’t get at home. People call me a gold-digger but I don’t want to break up marriages - just to be treated like a princess".
Aaliyah continued: "I only have a sexual relationship with two of them - and that’s because I fancy them".
But the others are still happy to shower her with expensive gifts.
Aaliyah said: "I feel like I have half of Tiffany’s in my jewellery box. The most expensive piece is a £60.000 heart-shaped diamond necklace. I’ve also got a diamond bracelet worth £30.000 and another Tiffany necklace worth £15.000".
Aaliyah said: "Most of my men say their marriages are sexless. I like to be appreciated. That’s why I need five guys, I suppose. I don’t believe in marriage. I can’t see how it can last forever. And I don’t want children".
Aaliyah continued: "I like the fact they’re not fully available. I wouldn’t want them to leave their wives. They’re all players so there’s no guilt on my part. And I don’t feel bad for their wives either. I don’t take them for granted - I’ve probably saved their marriages. Well, most of them anyway".
Aaliyah added: "I couldn’t go out with a normal guy now, I’m used to being spoilt. When I’m older these types of guys won’t go for me, so why not enjoy it while I can?".
These wealthy husbands are apparently not happy so they stray, and Aaliyah is young, and enjoys her lifestyle.

Aut quomodo potest quisquam intrare in domum fortis et vasa eius diripere, nisi prius alligaverit fortem? Et tunc domum illius diripiat. (Matthew 12:29)
EUobserver reports French President Nicolas Sarkozy on Wednesday (11 March) announced the return of his country to the military structures of NATO, 43 years after General Charles de Gaulle left the alliance to mark Paris' independence of the U.S.
President Sarkozy said in a speech at the Ecole Militare in Paris: "The time has come to stop excluding ourselves. The absentees are always wrong".
As Nicolas Sarkozy officially announces end of four decades of arm's-length relationship with the transatlantic alliance, Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, NATO's Secretary-General, “warmly welcomed” the announcement.
President Sarkozy said he would formally notify France's allies of its return to the military structures during NATO's 60th anniversary summit on 2-4 April in Strasbourg/Kehl.
Apart from the two NATO military commands earmarked for Paris ahead of the announcement, French media reported that U.S. President Barack Obama has also agreed to make a stop at the World War II Normandy landings beaches before the summit to underscore the history of the U.S.-French alliance.
The breach with the 43-year old Gaullist tradition was highly contested by the Socialist opposition, as well as some circles within Sarkozy's own centre-right party, the UMP.
Former Premier Dominique de Villepin, a longterm Sarkozy rival, has criticized the decision as being a blunder that would dilute the independence of French foreign policy.
Socialist leader Martine Aubry spoke about "an Atlanticism that becomes an ideology", while centrist Presidential candidate Francois Bayrou has called it an "amputation".
To raise the stakes within the UMP, which holds a large majority in both chambers of the French legislature, Prime Minister Francois Fillon has scheduled a confidence vote for next Tuesday (17 March) in connection with the return to NATO structures.
But it is seen as highly unlikely that even the most Gaullist of UMP members would vote against their own government and risk early elections over this issue.
French Defense Minister Herve Morin underscored last week that the return will "change nothing, in concrete terms".
In recent times, French forces, the largest in Europe, with 259.000 regulars and 419.000 reservists, have been major contributors to NATO missions. More than 3.000 French soldiers have been dispatched to Afghanistan and, since Sarkozy became President, have expanded their role to include combat missions.
Morin said: "We send our soldiers onto the terrain but we don't participate in the committee where their objectives are decided?. The time has come to end this situation. It is in the interest of France and the interest of Europe".
France's return to the military structures will contribute to soothing E.U.-NATO relations, leaving the Cyprus-Turkey dispute as the only real problem for co-operation between the two organisations.
For a long time, Washington viewed France's strong push behind E.U.'s own security and defense policy (ESDP) as an attempt to counter NATO's weight in Europe.
At times, France had also discreetly thrown its weight behind Greece's support for the Cypriot cause in the dispute with Turkey, also to undermine NATO coherence, alliance sources told EUobserver.
Sarkozy now predicted that the country's return to NATO command will also accelerate development of a European defense force, long a goal of French diplomacy.
Previously, Sarkozy said, Britain and to some degree Germany and other countries were reluctant to co-operate with France on such a force out of fear it would be interpreted as a split from NATO.
As a result, the idea of a European defence force was hailed repeatedly at European Union summit meetings, but has produced little in the way of practical results so far.
I believe President Nicolas Sarkozy makes the right decision.
Europe needs NATO, and NATO needs France.

Humiliamini igitur sub potenti manu Dei ut vos exaltet in tempore visitationis. (1 Peter 5:6)
Rapture Ready News reports Britain's Prince Charles warned on Thursday that mankind has 100 months or less to save the planet from a climate-caused disaster.
Prince Charles told some 150 business leaders in Rio de Janeiro that "the best projections tell us that we have less than 100 months to alter our behavior before we risk catastrophic climate change and the unimaginable horrors that this would bring".
Prince Charles said: "Any difficulties which the world faces today will be nothing compared to the full effects which global warming will have on the worldwide economy. It will result in vast movements of people escaping either flooding or droughts, in uncertain production of foods and lack of water and, of course, increasing social instability and potential conflict".
Prince Charles continued: "It will affect the well-being of every man, woman and child on our planet".
The Prince called for urgent steps to curb deforestation and greenhouse gas emissions.
Prince Charles said the global economic crisis is the worst in generations, and said sustainable development was the best and perhaps only way to ensure future economic growth.
Prince Charles asked: "Doesn't the global crisis in which we find ourselves tell us that sustainable development will be, indeed can only be, the primary driver of economic and industrial development in the future?".
I agree with Prince Charles that we are greatly affected by climate change, but our biggest problem will not be global warming caused by man, but the coming ice age.
The solar wind has dropped in intensity and it is also colder than it used to be. Thus we tend to remark the global warming at the ground level, but forget that the upper atmosphere is getting colder.
Against the forces of nature man is very small, but we certainly live in a changing world.
We can anyway find comfort in the Lord, because Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever, see Hebrews 13:8, and we know the world is without end, see Ephesians 3:21.
"Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place", see 2 Corinthians 2:14.

Et facta sunt fulgora et voces et tonitrua et terraemotus factus est magnus qualis numquam fuit ex quo homines fuerunt super terram talis terraemotus sic magnus. (Revelation 16:18)
I arrived yesterday evening from Belgium via Vienna to a picturesque snowy landscape in Södertälje, 18 miles south of Stockholm City, Sweden.
I have not been in Sweden since I moved to Belgium in April 2000, so I really appreciate to see old friends and the snow and the clear sky at the sea port at Södertälje.
A thought of the day is what the biggest earthquake ever will mean to the world.
"And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great", see Revelation 16:18.
The result of that big earthquake will be that every island will be submerged beneath water to the point were the mountains will barely be visible, see Revelation 16:20.
Jesus spoke about the days of Noah and said: "the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be", see Matthew 24:39.
Christ was talking about the coming great earthquake with the ensuing 10.000 feet floodwave, the sea and the waves roaring, for the powers of heaven shall be shaken, see Luke 21:25 and 26.
That great earthquake might be triggered by an Asteroid hitting the Earth, see Revelation 9:1 and 16:21.

Michael Spencer writes in The Christian Science Monitor about a major collapse of Evangelical Christianity within 10 years.
Spencer says: "This breakdown will follow the deterioration of the mainline Protestant world and it will fundamentally alter the religious and cultural environment in the West".
Spencer writes that Evangelicalism will be a house deserted within two generations.
Spencer says that this collapse will herald the arrival of an anti-Christian chapter of the post-Christian West.
Spencer continues by saying that intolerance of Christianity will rise to levels many of us have not believed possible in our lifetimes, and public policy will become hostile toward Evangelical Christianity, seeing it as the opponent of the common good.
Spencer says furher that "millions of Evangelicals will quit. Thousands of ministries will end. Christian media will be reduced, if not eliminated. Many Christian schools will go into rapid decline. I'm convinced the grace and mission of God will reach to the ends of the earth. But the end of Evangelicalism as we know it is close".
Spencer explains this is going to happen because Evangelicals have identified their movement with the culture war and with political conservatism, and that this will prove to be a very costly mistake.
Well, I don't agree with Michael Spencer why there is a great falling away, because the New Testament predicted that the time would come when people would reject Christian culture, democracy, and conservatism: "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears", see 2 Timothy 4:3.
"Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of me; and that cover with a covering, but not of my spirit, that they may add sin to sin", see Isaiah 30:1.
Thus there is nothing wrong with the conservative and cultural values of Christianity.
"Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition", see 2 Thessalonians 2:3.

Omnes enim nos manifestari oportet ante tribunal Christi, ut referat unusquisque propria corporis prout gessit, sive bonum sive malum. (2 Corinthians 5:10)
Donald Douglas writes on his blog, American Power, that: "Camille Paglia get's snarky on Barack Obama's amateur fumbles in the opening drive of his administration".
Paglia wrote in her essay at Salon: "Yes, free the president from his flacks, fixers and goons -- his posse of smirky smart alecks and provincial rubes, who were shrewd enough to beat the slow, pompous Clintons in the mano-a-mano primaries but who seem like dazed lost lambs in the brave new world of federal legislation and global statesmanship".
Paglia continued: "Heads should be rolling at the White House for the embarrassing series of flubs that have overshadowed President Obama's first seven weeks in office and given the scattered, demoralized Republicans a huge boost toward regrouping and resurrection".
It is true that it is not a good sign when President Obama's economics advisor loses 11 billion dollars.
But President Obama seems nevertheless to create a generous and positive atmosphere of happiness in the administration.
I found the funny picture above at James B. Webb's blog Brain Rage.
Apparently you don't have to work in a City Council to have fun.

Dixit illi Iohannes: "Magister, vidimus quendam in nomine tuo eicientem daemonia". (Mark 9:38)
A skeleton exhumed from a grave in Venice is being claimed as the first known example of the "vampires" widely referred to in contemporary documents, according to New Scientist.
Matteo Borrini of the University of Florence in Italy found the skeleton of a woman with a small brick in her mouth, while excavating mass graves of plague victims from the Middle Ages on Lazzaretto Nuovo Island in Venice.
The skeleton was removed from a mass grave of victims of the Venetian plague of 1576.
At the time the woman died, many people believed that the plague was spread by "vampires" which, rather than drinking people's blood, spread disease by chewing on their shrouds after dying.
Borrini said: "Grave-diggers put bricks in the mouths of suspected vampires to stop them doing this".
"And he healed many that were sick of divers diseases, and cast out many devils; and suffered not the devils to speak, because they knew him", see Mark 1:34.
The belief in vampires also probably arose because blood is sometimes expelled from the mouths of the dead, causing the shroud to sink inwards and tear.
Borrini, who presented his findings at a meeting of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences in Denver, Colorado, claims this might be the first such vampire to have been forensically examined.
Peer Moore-Jansen of Wichita State University in Kansas said he has found similar skeletons in Poland and that while Borrini's finding is exciting, "claiming it as the first vampire is a little ridiculous".
Borrini says his study details the earliest grave to show archaeological "exorcism evidence against vampires".
There is no mention of demons prior to the days of Noah. These dormant genetic tendencies still surface today at times in different people as predicted in Genesis 6:4, "There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that".
Jesus was in fact especially devoted to casting out demons, and He also believed that He passed this on to His followers.
Jesus said: "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils", see Mark 16:17.

If you are inclined to believe Igor Panarin, and the Kremlin wouldn't mind if you did, then President Barack Obama will order martial law this year, the U.S. will split into six rump-states before 2011, and Russia and China will become the backbones of a new world order, according to FOXNews.
But, as James Pethokoukis said in an article in U.S. News, an American collapse would push the world into a "Really Great Depression" that certainly would be very bad for Russia and China, so no one wants that to happen.
For a decade, Russian academic Igor Panarin has been predicting the U.S. will fall apart in 2010.
Recently Panarin said the E.U. will take over the U.S. East Coast.
Panarin admits that most of the time, few took his argument - that an economic and moral collapse will trigger a civil war and the eventual breakup of the U.S. - very seriously.
Panarin might be easy to ignore, but he is a Dean at the Foreign Ministry's school for future diplomats and a regular on Russia's state-guided TV channels.
"There is a high probability that the collapse of the United States will occur by 2010", Panarin told dozens of students, professors and diplomats a week ago at the Diplomatic Academy - a lecture the ministry pointedly invited The Associated Press and other foreign media to attend.
Panarin said the recent economic turmoil in the U.S. and other "social and cultural phenomena" led him to nail down a specific timeframe for "The End", when the United States will break up into six autonomous regions and Alaska will revert to Russian control.
Panarin argued that Americans are in moral decline, saying their great psychological stress is evident from school shootings, the size of the prison population and the number of gay men.
Panarin insisted he didn't wish for a U.S. collapse, but he predicted Russia and China would emerge from the economic turmoil stronger and said the two nations should work together, even to create a new currency to replace the U.S. dollar.
It wasn't clear how persuasive the 20-minute lecture was.
One instructor asked Panarin whether his predictions more accurately describe Russia, which is undergoing its worst economic crisis in a decade as well as a demographic collapse that has led some scholars to predict the country's demise.
Panarin dismissed that idea and said: "The collapse of Russia will not occur".
But Alexei Malashenko, a scholar-in-residence at the Carnegie Moscow Center said Russia is the country that is on the verge of disintegration, and that the U.S. never could fall apart.
Myself I think it is highly improbable the U.S. or Russia will break up, but that the idea not entirely can be dismissed in the light of enormous immigration and falling financial markets.
However, the character of the innovative and kind American people should be understood.
Americans are fighters who love their country, and who have successfully gone through both civil war and a depression before, only to emerge even stronger.
Panarin is correct that the situation in America is very serious, but I think Russia's own problems not should be underestimated.
Since I believe in Jesus Christ and Bible prophecy, I believe that Israel will emerge as some kind of new "Superpower", even if the U.S., China, E.U., and Russia, will try very hard to stop that to happen.

Non turbetur cor vestrum. Creditis in Deum et in me credite. (John 14:1)
Saturday Pastor David Wilkerson wrote on his blog:
"AN EARTH-SHATTERING CALAMITY IS ABOUT TO HAPPEN. IT IS GOING TO BE SO FRIGHTENING, WE ARE ALL GOING TO TREMBLE - EVEN THE GODLIEST AMONG US".
Wilkerson's vision is of a thousand fires raging through New York City.
Wilkerson wrote: "Major cities all across America will experience riots and blazing fires - such as we saw in Watts, Los Angeles, years ago".
Wilkerson continued: "There will be riots and fires in cities worldwide".
"I do not know when these things will come to pass, but I know it is not far off", Wilkerson concluded in his message. "I have unburdened my soul to you. Do with the message as you choose".
Pastor Wiley Drake, a past vice President of the Southern Baptist Convention, said in an interview with WorldNetDaily, he hopes believers pay attention to Wilkerson's message.
Drake said: "I have known David Wilkerson for more than 25 years as well as many of his friends and associates. He is a godly man and I believe he is listening to God. I encourage each Christian to read and heed what God is saying through our brother".
A couple of years ago I had myself a recurring dream, similar to the vision of David Wilkerson, that four major U.S. cities are going to be destroyed. Chicago and New York City were two of them.
Nevertheless, a dream is a dream and I have been wrong before.
A couple of years ago I also had a vision of Hillary Clinton as the new U.S. President, but she lost the Presidential election to Barack Obama, so obviously I have been wrong before, and anyway I only trust what is in the Bible.
Today David Wilkerson writes a further word concerning his post Saturday: "This is what I hear the Holy Spirit speaking to my heart concerning my own spiritual response to impending calamity. It is simply this - STAND STILL AND SEE THE SALVATION OF THE LORD".
I agree that we should stay calm because Jesus Himself said: "And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh", see Luke 21:28.
"Pacem relinquo vobis, pacem meam do vobis; non quomodo mundus dat, ego do vobis. Non turbetur cor vestrum neque formidet", John 14:27.

Sicut scriptum est quia propter te mortificamur tota die, aestimati sumus ut oves occisionis. (Romans 8:36)
CNN reports a Pastor of a Maryville, Illinois, Church was shot to death during a service Sunday in front of horrified parishioners who then tackled the gunman, state police said.
Fred Winters, the Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Maryville, Illinois, was shot and killed during the 8 a.m. service, and the attacker and two parishioners suffered knife wounds in the attack, said Illinois state police spokesman Ralph Timmins.
The gunman walked in during the service and walked up to the pulpit, opening fire when he was met by Winters, Timmins said.
A police dispatcher in Maryville, about 10 miles east of St. Louis, Missouri, told CNN the pastor was shot three times.
Winters used a Bible to deflect the first of four shots fired.
Timmins said the gunman's .45-caliber pistol jammed after he shot Winters. The shooter then pulled out a knife and turned it on himself before being tackled by some of the roughly 150 worshippers attending the Church.
In a telephone interview, Jeff Ross, a lay minister at the First Baptist Church of Maryville, Ill., said Senior Pastor Fred Winters was shot to death after he was hit in the heart and the neck, according to USA Today.
Ross said: "He's gone home to be free with the Lord".
Ross said that over the last 21 years, Winters built the congregation up from about 30 to 1.500 members.
Ross said: "This is just Satan. Who else would do it? Someone who wanted to stop his message".
Ross continued to say that Winters "was on fire for the Lord. He only worried about people who were lost".
Why would anyone kill this appreciated and kind Illinois Pastor?
Ross said he and other Church members were praying for the gunman: "He's still alive, so there's still a chance for him to turn his life around and find the Lord".
Witness Claudia Bohley told CNN affiliate KSDK she was in the Church's foyer waiting for the service to begin when she heard "pop, pop, pop. ... We just couldn't imagine what had happened".
Bohley said she ran into the sanctuary and saw what looked like paper scattered on the pulpit. She said she was later told that the bullet hit Winters' Bible.
Bohley said: "It was like confetti. It went everywhere. People were down on their knees and on the floor, screaming and praying".
Bohley described Winters - who is pictured on the Church's Web site along with his wife and two children - as "such a pleasant Pastor".
St. Louis University Hospital spokeswoman Laura Keller told CNN three males, including the suspect, were brought to the hospital.
Keller said one was dead on arrival, but the hospital was not releasing names and ages. She said the second was in an operating room and the third was the suspect, whose condition was not immediately available.
My heart and prayers goes out to the people at First Baptist Church of Maryville, and especially to Pastor Fred Winters' family.

Viri, diligite uxores, sicut et Christus dilexit ecclesiam et se ipsum tradidit pro ea. (Ephesians 5:25)
Today we celebrate International Women's Day, which is marked on March 8 every year.
This day gives men an occasion to express their love to the women around them.
But we somewhat tend to forget that many women face terrible hardships throughout the world.
About 25.000 brides are burned to death each year in India because of insufficient dowries.
In a number of countries, women are killed by their own families to preserve the family's honor through "honor killings".
According to UNICEF, 100 million to 140 million girls and women have undergone some form of female genital mutilation.
Rape as a weapon of war is used by many countries.
Today both women and men should therefore stand united to end all violence against women and girls.
This is of course also a day to celebrate feminine beauty. And that is the reason why I have beautiful Megan Fox on the picture above.

Pope Benedict XVI will visit Israel between March 8 and 15, the leader of the Catholic Church confirmed in Sunday's mass at St. Peter's in the Vatican.
Jerusalem Post said President Shimon Peres hailed the declaration as a mission of peace.
Pope Benedict XVI said during mass Sunday: "I intend to go on a pilgrimage in the Holy Land in May. I will visit places sanctified by the earthly pilgrims of the divine Lord who gave the precious gift of unity and peace for the Middle East and mankind. I am certain that with the spiritual help of the Lord who will accompany me I can bestow some of his grace on those I meet during my journey".
Pope Benedict XVI is expected to tour sites in Jerusalem, including the Temple Mount.
This will be a very important visit both for Israel and for the Church.
Through the Pope, we, all Christians, now have an excellent opportunity to show our deep solidarity with the Jewish Nation and its people.
Jesus Christ our Lord was born a Jew, and the New Testament was written by Jews moved by God, with the Divine intention to bring better lives, peace and prosperity to the world, first for the Jews, but also for all of us.
"Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Greeks, nor to the Church of God", see 1 Corinthians 10:32.

Si ergo Filius vos liberaverit, vere liberi eritis. (John 8:36)
Jerusalem Post reports that two monkeys escaped from Jerusalem's Biblical Zoo on Sunday morning.
"Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage", see Galatians 5:1.
Two centuries after his birth, it is time for Charles Darwin to come off his throne long enough for us to examine the man behind the monkey.
Charles Darwin who supported academic freedom said:
"I am a strong advocate for free thought on all subjects, yet it appears to me, whether rightly or wrongly, that direct arguments against Christianity and theism produce hardly any effect on the public; and freedom of thought is best promoted by the gradual illumination of men's minds, which follows from the advance of science. It has, therefore, been always my object to avoid writing on religion, and I have confined myself to science. I may, however, have been unduly biased by the pain which it would give some members of my family, if I aided in any way direct attacks on religion".
Darwin first published his theory of evolution by natural selection in 1859 in his book "On the Origin of Species".
Last month Time Magazine wrote: "For more than 80 years, Dayton, Tenn., has had a monkey on its back. That monkey is the English naturalist Charles Darwin, whose 200th birthday is being celebrated on Feb. 12 in hundreds of cities around the world".
"For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty", see Galatians 5:13.
I am myself opposed to the evolution theory, because you need God to create something out of nothing before you can have any evolution.
"For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him", see Colossians 1:16.
Anyway, these two monkeys, seeking liberty from Jerusalem's Biblical grip, are now certainly the heroes of the day among the evolutionists at the Darwinist Freedom from Religion Foundation.
