Via Disclose.tv: Orbiting a star that is visible to the naked eye, astronomers have discovered a planet twice the size of our own made largely out of diamond. The study — with Olivier Mousis at the Institut de Recherche en Astrophysique et Planetologie in Toulose, France — estimates that at least a third of the planet's mass, the equivalent of about three Earth masses, could be diamond. Diamond planets have been spotted before but this is the first time one has been seen orbiting a sun-like star and studied in such detail.

"The union and its forerunners have for over six decades contributed to the advancement of peace and reconciliation, democracy, and human rights in Europe", said chairman Thorbjorn Jagland. "Over a 70-year period, Germany and France had fought three wars. Today war between Germany and France is unthinkable", Jagland said. "This shows how, through well-aimed efforts and by building up mutual confidence, historical enemies can become close partners". Well, the decision is in line with Bible prophecy, where the Soviet Union was the beast of the sea, and the United States, the beast of the Earth, which will occupy Israel, according to Revelation chapter 13. But the European Union still has great flaws, although Greece is called Egypt my people; Germany is called, the works of God's hands, and the lost tribes of Israel - many EU countries - are God's inheritance, according to Isaiah 19:25.

Via WND: As a student at Harvard Law School, then-bachelor Barack Obama’s practice of wearing a gold band on his wedding-ring finger puzzled his colleagues. Now, newly published photographs of Obama from the 1980s show that the ring Obama wore on his wedding-ring finger as an unmarried student is the same ring Michelle Robinson put on his finger at the couple’s wedding ceremony in 1992. Moreover, according to Arabic-language and Islamic experts, the ring Obama has been wearing for more than 30 years is adorned with the first part of the Islamic declaration of faith, the Shahada: "There is no god except Allah". The Shahada is the first of the Five Pillars of Islam, expressing the two fundamental beliefs that make a person a Muslim: There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is Allah’s prophet. Sincere recitation of the Shahada is the sole requirement for becoming a Muslim, as it expresses a person’s rejection of all other gods. Egyptian-born Islamic scholar Mark A. Gabriel, Ph.D., examined photographs of Obama’s ring at WND’s request and concluded that the first half of the Shahada is inscribed on it. “There can be no doubt that someone wearing the inscription ‘There is no god except Allah’ has a very close connection to Islamic beliefs, the Islamic religion and Islamic society to which this statement is so strongly attached", Gabriel told WND. Gabriel told WND that a person wearing a ring with "There is no god except Allah", demonstrates the significance of Islam in his life. "Christians never use the statement", he pointed out. "By wearing the Shahada on jewelry, a person communicates that Allah is in control of all circumstances. Allah controls you; Allah is the one and only one". But isn't it strange then, that Obama has repeatedly insisted he is a Christian? Acts 4:12 states that there is salvation in no other name than the name of Jesus. The name of Jesus Christ is the "name which is above every name", according to Philippians 2:9. Jesus is the Father, according to John 14:9, the exact manifestation of God, according to Hebrews 1:3; God was manifest in the flesh, 1 Timothy 3:16. The biggest problem is not that Obama denies that Jesus Christ is the only God, though, but that Obama obviously is a "habitual liar" to use the vocabulary of Elijah the Tishbite. "Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen", Romans 9:5. Now everybody should understand what Obama meant when he told the Islamic audience in Cairo that Islam is part of his responsibility as President of the United States. "And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life", 1 John 5:20.

Via Disclose.tv: Turkey has confirmed it is deploying more fighter jets to an airbase close to the border with Syria, amid artillery exchanges along its tense southeastern border with Syria. "Assad ... is only able to stand up with crutches", Turkish Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan, once a close ally of Assad, told a meeting of his ruling AK Party, and added, "he will be finished when the crutches fall away". Erdogan, reacting to six consecutive days where shells fired from Syrian soil have landed on Turkish territory, has warned Ankara will not shrink from war if forced to act. But Ankara has also made clear it would be reluctant to mount any major operation on Syrian soil, and then only with international support. At least 25 additional F-16 fighter jets were deployed at Turkey's Diyarbakir air base late on Monday. Meanwhile President Bashar al-Assad of Syria held a meeting with his regime’s army leadership to discuss the possibility of a full general military mobilization to face the prospect of war with Turkey, according to a senior Syrian official speaking to WND.

The news could effectively stymie the Chinese firms’ attempts to expand in the world’s largest telecoms markets and give a boost to rivals such as Sweden’s Ericsson. Amid a decline in demand in the global communications equipment market, Huawei previously this year overtook Ericsson to become the world's leading supplier of communications equipment by sales. "This puts an established intelligence community stamp on the idea that these are companies that pose a potential serious threat", Stewart Baker, a former U.S. Homeland Security Department official, said. Via RIA Novosti: The North Korean military said on Tuesday that the U.S. mainland was within the strike range of its strategic missile forces, Xinhua reported citing North Korea’s official KCNA news agency as saying. "Strategic forces of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea [DPRK] have placed the U.S. forces on the Korean Peninsula, Japan, Guam, and even the U.S. mainland within its target range", KCNA quoted a spokesperson from DPRK’s National Defense Commission. The announcement comes in a wake of a report that South Korea has reached a new missile deal with the United States, allowing Seoul to develop longer-range ballistic missiles capable of striking all of North Korea with stronger warheads. In October 2006, North Korea became the world’s eighth nuclear power, conducting an underground nuclear weapons test. Although the country’s nuclear program and its development of long-range missile systems has been condemned by the international community, Pyongyang has vowed to continue its controversial missile development program. North Korea has already deployed a number of domestically-built missiles, including some capable of hitting the American territory of Guam in the Pacific, in addition to South Korea, and Japan. In April, North Korea launched its long-range Unha-3 rocket allegedly carrying a satellite on board. Although the rocket failed to put the satellite into orbit, the United States and its allies condemned the launch as a cover for developing intercontinental ballistic missiles.

Via The Local: WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange said in an interview published Monday he has hired a legal team to establish whether he has a case to sue Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard for defamation. The Australian founder of the whistleblowing website says comments Gillard made in 2010, that the leaking of U.S. diplomatic cables was "illegal" and "grossly irresponsible", had hurt WikiLeaks' financial viability. "We are considering suing for defamation so I have hired lawyers in Sydney and they are investigating the different ways in which we can sue Gillard over this statement", Assange told Australian activist group GetUp in an interview. Assange has been holed up in the Ecuadorian embassy in London since claiming asylum on June 19 in a bid to avoid extradition to Sweden, where he faces questioning over alleged sex crimes. He said the organization had not been convicted of breaking any laws yet, but that Gillard's comments had been used against WikiLeaks. "MasterCard Australia, in justifying why it has made a blockade preventing any Australian MasterCard holder from donating to WikiLeaks, used that statement by Julia Gillard as justification", Assange said. "So the effects of the statement are ongoing and they directly affect the financial viability of WikiLeaks", he added. Assange, who plans to run for the Australian Senate in elections due next year, denies the sex allegations and fears Sweden would extradite him to the United States, where his supporters say he could receive the death penalty. WikiLeaks deeply embarrassed the U.S. government in 2010 by publishing huge caches of confidential documents on the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and more than 250.000 diplomatic cables from U.S. embassies around the world. Ecuador granted him asylum on August 16, but Britain has denied Assange safe passage out of the country. Assange again accused the Australian government of offering him little help - an allegation it rejects. "I haven't seen any member of the Australian embassy or consulate since I was in prison in 2010. And even then, all they did was bringing some notepads, pens, etc", Assange said.

Via Disclose.tv: An 11-year-old Russian boy, taking a stroll with his dog on Sopochnaya Cape in Taimir Peninsula, Siberia, stumbled upon a woolly carcass of a 16-year-old male mammoth that was possibly killed by humans tens of thousands of years ago. Scientists are now lauding the find as one of the best preserved carcasses ever found in history. Yevgeny Salinder, an ethnic Nenets boy, told his parents about the carcass, who informed polar explorers living on the Taimir Peninsula. Scientists soon reached the spot to examine the 1/2-ton carcass, which has scraps of fur, plenty of flesh, an ear, a tusk, some bones, and an intact reproductive organ. It took a week to dig the carcass out of the permafrost. The mammoth, which will be unofficially called Zhenya (the diminutive form of Russian name Yevgeny), is supposed to have died about 30.000 years ago and was between 15 and 16 years of age. Mammoths' average life expectancy is of 60 to 80 years. "This is the second best-preserved mammoth in history and the first find of such quality since 1901", said Alexei Tikhonov, a specialist with the Mammoth Committee of the Russian Academy of Sciences. In 1901, the first such well-preserved mammoth was discovered near Beryozovka River in Yakutia, he added. "Officially, the animal will be known as the Sopkarginsky mammoth", Tikhonov said. According to media reports, the mammoth carcass will be transported to the Krasnoyarsk region and from there, to researchers in Moscow. The carcass will be put on display at the Taimir Regional Studies Museum.

Via Disclose.tv: NASA's Mars rover Curiosity is enjoying some nice, warm weather on the Red Planet — and spring hasn't even come to its landing site yet. Curiosity's onboard weather station, which is called the Remote Environment Monitoring Station (REMS), has measured air temperatures as high as 43 degrees Fahrenheit (6 degrees Celsius) in the afternoon. And temperatures have climbed above freezing during more than half of the Martian days, or sols, since REMS was turned on, scientists said. These measurements are a bit unexpected, since it's still late winter at Gale Crater, the spot 4.5 degrees south of the Martian equator where Curiosity touched down on Aug. 5. "That we are seeing temperatures this warm already during the day is a surprise and very interesting", Felipe Gómez, of the Centro de Astrobiología in Madrid, said in a statement. Curiosity's main goal is to determine if the Gale area is, or ever was, capable of supporting microbial life. Most researchers think present-day Mars is too dry and cold to host life as we know it, but they may have to rethink some of their assumptions if temperatures climb considerably through the spring and summer. "If this warm trend carries on into summer, we might even be able to foresee temperatures in the 20s [Celsius], and that would be really exciting from a habitability point of view", Gómez said. "In the daytimes, we could see temperatures high enough for liquid water on a regular basis. But it’s too soon to tell whether that will happen or whether these warm temperatures are just a blip". While Curiosity's days are relatively pleasant weather-wise, the same can't be said for the rover's nights. Air temperatures drop dramatically after the sun goes down, plunging as low as minus 94 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 70 Celsius) just before dawn, scientists said. Such big swings occur because the effects of solar heating are much more pronounced on Mars than they are on Earth. The Red Planet's surface is much drier, and its atmosphere is just 1 percent as thick as Earth's. REMS measurements also suggest that atmospheric pressure is on the rise at Gale Crater, researchers said. This information is in line with mission scientists' expectations. In winter, Mars gets cold enough for carbon dioxide at the poles to freeze, forming seasonal "dry ice" caps. Since carbon dioxide dominates the Red Planet's thin atmosphere, this freeze-out process causes pressures to vary from season to season. Models and data from previous missions had predicted that Curiosity would land when pressures were around their lowest. The rover's measurements have borne this out, rising from a daily average of around 730 pascals during Curiosity's first three weeks on Mars to about 750 pascals more recently, researchers said.

In March, Sveriges Radio (SR) revealed that the Swedish Defense Research Agency (Totalförsvarets forskningsinstitut - FOI) had created a shell company to oversee construction of a factory in Saudi Arabia for the maintenance and upgrade of anti-tank missile systems. The company was set up in order to avoid any direct ties between the project and the Swedish government and cash for starting the company was provided by the Swedish Military Intelligence and Security Service (Militära underrättelse- och säkerhetstjänsten – MUST). While a probe into the legality of the controversial plan, known as Project Simoom, was dropped in September, a new SR report on Wednesday revealed that FOI and MUST secretly paid a Russian weapons expert for information FOI needed in order to complete a study related to the construction of the factory. According to SR, experts at FOI needed help in their efforts to help provide Saudi Arabia with the information required for the country to develop a domestic arms industry. Through informal channels, the agency identified a Russian expert with ties to the Russian state who could provide the information FOI needed. It is nevertheless good news that Sweden has good ties with Russia, and of course Sweden should cooperate on Russia in all fields since there are common interests shared. The development of Saudi Arabia is in everybody's interest.

Via Disclose.tv: For the first time, the legendary 2006 Russian documentary "Third Reich – Operation UFO" in its entirety, and fully translated into English, is available for free viewing. Many thanks to Irina Du Toit for the translation and the saucer people for the subtitles. The film explores the historical mysteries and rumours of a Nazi secret base in Antarctica, the 1947 flying saucer attack on Admiral Byrd’s ill-fated "Operation Highjump" expedition, and the occult origins of Third Reich anti-gravity engines, flying discs and ancient Atlantean technologies viewed through the lens of perhaps the three most mysterious twentieth century German organisations of all: the "Thule Society", "Vril Society", and the "Ahnenerbe". One of the core themes of the film is the alleged existence of "Base 211", the legendary underground Nazi base in the Antarctica. Drawing upon the pre-war Nazi interest in Antarctica and the creation of "New Swabia"; the testimony of German U-Boat submarine commanders and the alleged disappearance of thousands of Nazi scientists and engineers at the end of the war, personnel that cannot be accounted for by the Vatican and Odessa "rat lines", or American "Operation Paperclip" activities. The film analyses the actual geo-physical possibilities of an underground base in Antarctica. The other core theme is the alleged existence of a Nazi flying saucer program and the many evidential strands that this area generates. From the supposed channeling of extraterrestrial engineering schematics by members of the German occult group "Thule Society" in the early part of the twentieth century to the "implosion engine" of Viktor Schauberger and its possible appropriation by the Third Reich. Bringing us to the the latter part of the twentieth century the documentary illustrates the many sightings of unknown crafts around the Antartic region and the theoretical basis for polar wormholes as entrance and exit points for visiting extraterrestrial spaceships and the possible involvement of HAARP, as well as asking why nearly all American Antarctic bases seem to be populated by agents of the National Security Agency and CIA. Like the study of any phenomena and/or events that exist at the edges of consensus reality, occupy imaginal realms and are subject to historical revisionism; the interface of myth and reality is a shifting mosaic of fact, speculation, disinformation and fantasy, or to use the phrase of head CIA counter-intelligence spook, James Jesus Angleton, we have entered a "wilderness of mirrors". Certainly there are elements in the documentary that give cause for concern such as the alleged "Special Bureau 13", the Nazi secret flying saucer research group and its similarity to the top secret government agency in the early eighties role playing game "Bureau 13: Stalking the Night Fantastic". Likewise, there is the lack of information on the existence of the US Navy destroyer "Murdoch" in the testimony recounted by pilot "John Sireson" in his description of the flying saucer attack on Admiral Byrd's fleet (testimony taken from an interview by the late pioneering American researcher Leonard Stringfield). Equally, the testimony of Admiral Byrd that flying saucers attacked the "Operation Highjump" fleet is of historical record as is his testimony to Congress of enemies that have the ability to fly "pole to pole". Likewise, the creation of "New Swabia" is as much a historical fact as the "impossible" existence of the "Piri Reis" map. What sets this documentary apart from most others of its kind is the inclusion of high ranking Russian scientists and military personnel, and their testimony should not be discounted.

French spies operating in Sirte, Gaddafi's last refuge, were able to set a trap for the Libyan dictator after obtaining his satellite telephone number from the Syrian government, they said. In what would amount to an extraordinary betrayal of one Middle East strongman by another, President Bashar al-Assad sold out his fellow tyrant in an act of self-preservation, a former senior intelligence official in Tripoli told the Daily Telegraph.
