Ukraine Abandons Its Military Bases In Crimea

Via RT:

Ukraine is preparing to pull its remaining military personnel and their families from the breakaway region of Crimea, effectively conceding defeat after Russia said it would annex the strategic peninsula.

The Russian flag was raised in the Ukrainian naval headquarters in Crimea's Sevastopol port after a tense but peaceful takeover.

Russia’s Foreign Ministry has published a reciprocal sanctions list of U.S. citizens, consisting of 10 names, including: House of Representatives Speaker John Boehner, Senator J. McCain; and advisers to President Obama D. Pfeiffer and C. Atkinson.

The move comes in response to U.S. sanctions imposed against Russian officials after the March-16 referendum in Crimea, which Washington considered "illegitimate".

The Ministry reiterates that Russia has "repeatedly" stressed using sanctions is a "double-edged thing" and it will have a "boomerang" effect against the U.S. itself.
