Genital Mutilation Claims Probed In Sweden

Via The Local:

A report that 30 girls from one class in central Sweden suffered gender mutilation has been criticized for twisting details - but others say the technicalities should not matter.

Since Midsummer, a school in Norrköping has made global news for discovering scores of school girls who had suffered female genital mutilation (FGM).

Now it's making rounds again thanks to apparently misleading information that made it into the original story by local paper Norrköpings Tidning (NT).

The paper reported that 60 mutilated girls had been discovered at a school, and that 30 of them were in the same class.

But new accounts revealed that the girls were not in one class, but rather in a temporary working group put together for the purpose of the study.

"What does it really matter?" Annica Hesser, the journalist who wrote the original article, wondered.

"Thirty girls who have been mutilated is just as many no matter where they are sitting. The suffering is the same".

Some newspapers had also incorrectly reported that the girls had been born and raised in Sweden - which was not written in the original report, Norrköpings Tidning claimed.

The paper has now clarified that many of the girls may be first-generation immigrants, although no official statistics have been released on that point.

In Sweden FGM is a serious crime which can give sentences of up to ten years in prison.

All forms of genital mutilation have been illegal in Sweden since 1982.

Fifteen years ago the law was updated so that genital mutilation was punishable in Sweden even if the act occurred abroad.

Even though the law has been in place for over 30 years, there have only been two cases in which FGM has led to perpetrators being sentenced in Sweden.

OSCE Backs Russia’s Proposal To Establish International Contact Group On Ukraine

Via RIA Novosti:

The OSCE Parliamentary Assembly approved Monday a proposal by Sergei Naryshkin, the speaker of Russia’s lower house of parliament, for the creation of an international contact group on Ukraine, according to Leonid Slutsky, Head of the State Duma Committee for the CIS Affairs.

Naryshkin came up with the proposal as he was speaking at the opening plenary of the OSCE PA annual session in Baku last Saturday.

"An amendment by State Duma speaker Sergei Naryshkin on the establishment of an international contact group on Ukraine has just been accepted", Slutsky told RIA Novosti.

"Thus the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly supported Russia’s proposal for the creation of this international group of mediators aimed at resolving Ukraine’s political and constitutional crisis", Slutsky added.

Naryshkin also urged members of the Parliamentary Assembly to facilitate the peace process in Ukraine, adding that the temporary ceasefire between pro-Kiev forces and independence supporters in the country’s east should be further extended.

Last Friday, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko announced the extension of a week-long ceasefire until Monday evening.

The initial deadline for the truce was to expire Friday at 10:00 p.m. local time (19:00 GMT).

Independence forces have pledged to observe the conditions of the new truce.

Brazilian Pastor Pours 110 lbs. Of Salt On Church Floor; Sparks Witchcraft Speculation

Via The Christian Post:

An Apostolic church in Brazil has atrracted controversy online after a photo was posted on their Facebook account in which the pastor is seen praying and kneeling on the floor over 110 lbs. of anointed salt.

Apostolic Church Full of God's Throne based in Sao Paulo held a service last week where the practice took place.

The criticism was triggered by the image of the church's lead pastor Agenor Duke, as he is shown surrounded by other kneeling church members who then marched over the salt barefoot as they fervently prayed.

"This is a witchcraft practice, very different from what the Scripture reflects on the use of salt", commented Jonathan Martinez, a Facebook user on the church's account.

"That method is only used for witchcraft and for calling upon negative things".

ISIS Rebels Declare "Islamic State" In Iraq And Syria

Via BBC News:

Jihadist militant group ISIS has said it is establishing a caliphate, or Islamic state, on the territories it controls in Iraq and Syria.

It also proclaimed the group's leader, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, as caliph and "leader for Muslims everywhere".

The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL/ISIS) fighters have publically executed and crucified eight rebels who were fighting both Assad and jihadists on what once was Greek land, according to a monitoring group using information from local sources.

The eight men were brutally killed in the town square of Deir Hafar in the east of Aleppo province on June 28 because they were from rebel groups that had fought the jihadists as well as President Bashar Assad’s forces, the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said, AFP reports.

ISIS then "crucified them in the main square of the village, where their bodies will remain for three days", the pro-opposition NGO added.

New Kind Of Meteorite Found

Via Disclose.tv:

For 50 years, scientists have wondered what annihilated the ancestor of L-chondrites, the roof-smashing, head-bonking meteorites that frequently pummel Earth.

Now, a new kind of meteorite discovered in a southern Sweden limestone quarry may finally solve the mystery, scientists report.

The strange new rock may be the missing "other half" from one of the biggest interstellar collisions in a billion years.

"Something we didn't really know about before was flying around and crashed into the L-chondrites", said study co-author Gary Huss of the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

The space rock is a 470-million-year-old fossil meteorite first spotted three years ago by workers at Sweden's Thorsberg quarry, where stonecutters have an expert eye for extraterrestrial objects.

Quarriers have plucked 101 fossil meteorites from the pit's ancient pink limestone in the last two decades.

Researchers have nicknamed the new meteorite the "mysterious object" until its formal name is approved, said lead study author Birger Schmitz, of Lund University in Sweden and Chicago's Field Museum.

It will likely be named for a nearby church, the Österplana, he said. Mysterious find Geochemically, the meteorite falls into a class called the primitive achondrites, and most resembles a rare group of achondrites called the winonaites.

But small differences in certain elements in its chromite grains set the mysterious object apart from the winonaites, and its texture and exposure age distinguish the new meteorite from the other 49.000 or so meteorites found so far on Earth.

"It's a very, very strange and unusual find", Schmitz told Live Science's Our Amazing Planet.

Russia Will Not Sit Idly By As Jihadists Press Iraq Assault

Via Yahoo! News:

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said in Damascus on Saturday that his country "will not remain passive" as jihadists push an offensive in Syria's neighbour Iraq.

"Russia will not remain passive to the attempts by some groups to spread terrorism in the region", Ryabkov told journalists after meeting with President Bashar al-Assad.

Sunni militants, led by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) which is active in both Syria and Iraq, have seized vast territory north and west of Baghdad since launching their offensive two weeks ago.

Ryabkov, whose country is Assad's main backer, did not elaborate on what steps Russia might take.

"The situation is very dangerous in Iraq and the foundations of the Iraqi state are under threat", he said.

Ryabkov also reiterated Moscow's position that the crises in Syria and Iraq must be resolved "through a genuine national dialogue".

Asked about Washington's decision to support moderate rebels in Syria, Ryabkov said: "There can be no alternative to a political solution".

He added: "We reject this U.S. policy. It is in everybody's interest, including the Americans, to act responsibly on Syria".

President Barack Obama has asked U.S. lawmakers to authorise a $500 million plan to arm and train the Syrian opposition, which has been fighting both Assad's troops and the jihadist ISIS.

Ryabkov said Damascus had taken a "responsible" decision in handing over its chemical weapons arsenal, while calling on Israel to "abide by" the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons.

NASA Successfully Tests "Flying Saucer" Vehicle

Via USA Today:

After several weather delays, NASA successfully launched and recovered a "flying saucer" into Earth's atmosphere Saturday to test technology that could be used to land on Mars.

The experiment off the coast of the Hawaiian island of Kauai tested the disc-shaped vehicle and a giant parachute.

The parachute did not fully deploy but NASA still deemed the mission a success.

Saturday afternoon, the "flying saucer" splashed down in Pacific.

The test at the Kauai military range had been postponed several times since June 2 because of winds.

It may seem straight out of a B-movie, but the space agency says the launch had a serious purpose: to test technology that will help land spacecraft and someday humans on Mars.

NASA still relies on some of the basic designs developed more than 40 years ago to land the Viking spacecraft on Mars, principal investigator Ian Clark of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory said earlier this month.

"We've been using the same parachutes for several decades now", he said.

"If we want to eventually land a human on the surface of Mars, we realized we need to develop new technologies".

The low-density supersonic decelerator, as it's officially known, ascended into the skies dangling from a gargantuan balloon filled with helium.

At 34 million cubic feet, the balloon filled the Rose Bowl, encasing the helium in a skin made of a high-tech film as thin as sandwich wrap.

After the balloon and its load soar to roughly 23 miles high, the balloon broke away from the vehicle and drop to Earth, the cue for a rocket attached to the saucer to fire.

The rocket propelled the saucer to four times the speed of sound, duplicating the rapid clip of a spacecraft bound for Mars.

The saucer's inflatable ring, made of the same material as bulletproof vests, popped up, expanding to some 3 feet high in a fraction of a second.

The ring is designed to brake the vehicle as it speeds through the atmosphere.

NASA's latest rover on Mars, the Mars Science Laboratory, weighed about a ton.

The new technology being tested would allow the landing of a load twice as heavy, and the use of multiple parachutes could mean even spacecraft of 20 to 30 tons could make a soft landing, Clark said.

At the test location high above the Earth, the air is as thin as the wispy atmosphere around Mars.

"We want to test them here — where it's a lot cheaper — before we we send them to Mars", said project manager Mark Adler, also of the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.

Target ISIS: First Batch Of Russian Su-24 Jets Arrives In Iraq

Via RT:

The first ten Russian Sukhoi (Su-24) fighter jets arrived in Iraq on Saturday, the country’s Defense Ministry said.

Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki is hoping the jets will make a key difference in the fight against ISIS.

"The fighter jets landed today in the morning on different military airfields", MP Abbas al-Bayati told Iraqi media.

The official spokesperson for the Iraqi Ministry of Defense, Mohammed al-Askari, also confirmed the information, Al Iraqiya TV channel reported.

The fighter jets will be stationed at an airbase located in the southern part of the country, PressTV reported, citing military sources.

Earlier this week, Prime Minister Maliki revealed that Iraq purchased jets from Russia and Belarus in order to help its fight against Sunni militants from the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIS/ISIL).

At the same time, Maliki criticized the U.S. for taking too long to deliver on its own contract after Iraq purchased F-16 jets from America.

On Friday, Iraqi Air Force Commander Hameed al-Maliki confirmed the shipment of MI-35 and MI-28 Russian helicopter fighters to "keep the momentum" in the attacks against ISIS, Ruptly reported.

The commander said that he signed three contracts with the Russians and stressed the importance of the choppers as "excellent anti-terrorism weapons".

The radical Sunni Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIS or ISIL) has taken large parts of the country's north from the Shia government.

Hundreds of Iraqi soldiers have been killed by insurgents since the Sunni militants began their offensive on June 9, according to Iraqi forces.

The United Nations says more than 1.000 people – mainly civilians – have been killed during the surge thus far.

Alien Contact 2014 Coming

The more we learn about the universe the more, not less, curious it seems that we are apparently alone.

When scientists first started seriously speculating about the possibility of extraterrestrial civilisations more than half a century ago, astronomers knew of only one solar system in the whole of the cosmos – ours.

Now we know of more than a thousand, several containing apparently Earthlike planets, a handful of which may lie in their stars’ "habitable zone", an orbit in which it is neither too hot nor too cold for liquid water to exist.

All this raises the question: where the heck is everybody?

If intelligent life is as common as some suspect then it is certain that by now the aliens have used their telescopes to detect us.

Maybe someone is on their way.

Or, maybe the aliens are already here...

Physicist Suggests Speed Of Light Might Be Slower Than Thought

Via Disclose.tv:

Physicist James Franson of the University of Maryland has captured the attention of the physics community by posting an article to the peer-reviewed New Journal of Physics in which he claims to have found evidence that suggests the speed of light as described by the theory of general relativity, is actually slower than has been thought.

The theory of general relativity suggests that light travels at a constant speed of 299.792.458 meters per second in a vacuum.

It's the c in Einstein's famous equation after all, and virtually everything measured in the cosmos is based on it - in short, it's pretty important.

But, what if it's wrong?

Comment: In fact, general relativity predicts that the velocity of light would be reduced by a gravitational potential, the author proposes a correction by using a first approximation effect of a gravitational field in the framework of the quantum electrodynamics theory.

Light velocity is constant in the theory of special relativity where no interaction fields are involved.

Franson's arguments are based on observations made of the supernova SN 1987A - it exploded in February 1987.

Measurements here on Earth picked up the arrival of both photons and neutrinos from the blast but there was a problem - the arrival of the photons was later than expected, by 4.7 hours.

Scientists at the time attributed it to a likelihood that the photons were actually from another source.

But what if that wasn't what it was, Franson wonders, what if light slows down as it travels due to a property of photons known as vacuum polarization - where a photon splits into a positron and an electron, for a very short time before recombining back into a photon.

That should create a gravitational differential he notes, between the pair of particles, which, he theorizes, would have a tiny energy impact when they recombine - enough to cause a slight bit of a slowdown during travel.

If such splitting and rejoining occurred many times with many photons on a journey of 168.000 light years, the distance between us and SN 1987A, it could easily add up to the 4.7 hour delay, he suggests.

Comment: Maybe there is no need for a star trek explanation.

Since interstellar space is not totally empty, it is only natural to attribute a refraction index to certain zones in space (like on earth, light propagates more slowly in water than in the air for instance).

That may explain perhaps the so-called "gravitational lenses" and make some cosmologists angry.

If Franson's ideas turn out to be correct, virtually every measurement taken and used as a basis for cosmological theory, will be wrong.

Light from the sun for example, would take longer to reach us than thought, and light coming from much more distant objects, such as from the Messier 81 galaxy, a distance of 12 million light years, would arrive noticeably later than has been calculated - about two weeks later.

The implications are staggering - distances for celestial bodies would have to be recalculated and theories that were created to describe what has been observed would be thrown out.

In some cases, astrophysicists would have to start all over from scratch.

Space Football Fever: NASA Astronauts Lose Hair In World Cup Bet

Via RT:

Two American astronauts had to be shaved bald right up there in the orbit, after their World Cup team lost to Germany.

Yes - the pair placed a wrong bet on the match!

World Cup fever has gone extra-terrestrial and turned the International Space Station (ISS) into a barber’s shop after Germany beat the U.S. 1-0 on Thursday.

For two members of the space mission - NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman and Steve Swanson - the match result meant they lost a bet to their German crewmate Alexander Gerst and had to have their hair shaved off.

If the US team had won, Gerst would have had a U.S. flag drawn on his already bald head, according to the wager.

Video of the Americans receiving their new haircuts appeared on the ISS YouTube feed on Friday.

To perform the operation in zero gravity - without having the hair flying all over the station - Gerst uses a special electric hair trimmer with a vacuum attached to it.

Russia Warns Europe Over Re-Selling Gas To Ukraine

Via Yahoo! Finance:

Russia's state-controlled gas company, Gazprom, warned its European customers Friday that it could limit supplies to countries that intend to re-sell the natural gas on to Ukraine.

Along with a military conflict in the east, Ukraine is struggling with a $4.5 billion gas debt to Russia.

Gazprom last week cut gas shipments to Ukraine after the talks to settle the debt and negotiate a lower price failed.

Supplies to Europe via Ukraine and other pipelines have not been affected, however.

Ukraine has sought to counter the Russian move by trying to negotiate gas supplies from other European countries that buy Russian gas.

European Union officials said they were working to set up so-called "reverse flow" shipments back to Ukraine via Slovakia.

Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said Friday that the company is closely monitoring the situation and may curb supplies "in the foreseeable future" to those nations that would pump the Russian gas to Ukraine through reverse flow, which he described as a "half-fraudulent scheme". He wouldn't name any specific countries.

"Ukraine has no right to use the gas in its pipeline", Miller told reporters.

Asked whether Moscow was willing to resume talks with Ukraine, Miller reiterated the company's stance, saying that the country needs to pay down at least some amount of the debt before the talks could resume.

Ukrainian officials have admitted that the country cannot cuts its dependence on the Russian gas right now but have unveiled plans on how to diversify energy supplies and rationalize their use.

Miller said Gazprom is beginning to store extra amounts of gas in its underground storages in Europe in order to guarantee winter time supplies.

He said, however, that this "does not eliminate the risks of transit" through Ukraine.

Scientists Create New Battery That's Cheap, Clean, Rechargeable... And Organic

Via Disclose.tv:

Scientists at USC have developed a water-based organic battery that is long lasting, built from cheap, eco-friendly components.

The new battery – which uses no metals or toxic materials – is intended for use in power plants, where it can make the energy grid more resilient and efficient by creating a large-scale means to store energy for use as needed.

"The batteries last for about 5.000 recharge cycles, giving them an estimated 15-year lifespan", said Sri Narayan, professor of chemistry at the USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences and corresponding author of a paper describing the new batteries that was published online by the Journal of the Electrochemical Society on June 20.

"Lithium ion batteries degrade after around 1.000 cycles, and cost 10 times more to manufacture".

Narayan collaborated with Surya Prakash, Prakash, professor of chemistry and director of the USC Loker Hydrocarbon Research Institute, as well as USC's Bo Yang, Lena Hoober-Burkhardt, and Fang Wang.

"Such organic flow batteries will be game-changers for grid electrical energy storage in terms of simplicity, cost, reliability and sustainability", said Prakash.

The batteries could pave the way for renewable energy sources to make up a greater share of the nation's energy generation.

Solar panels can only generate power when the sun's shining, and wind turbines can only generate power when the wind blows.

That inherent unreliability makes it difficult for power companies to rely on them to meet customer demand.

With batteries to store surplus energy and then dole it out as needed, that sporadic unreliability could cease to be such an issue.

Swedish Prince Carl Philip To Marry

Sweden's most famous bachelor is no longer eligible.

Prince Carl Philip got engaged on Friday to girlfriend Sofia Hellqvist.

The Swedish royal court has just announced that Prince Carl Philip is engaged to girlfriend Sofia Hellqvist.

The wedding will take place in the summer of next year.

"I have the incredible honour of being engaged to this fantastic girl", Prince Carl Philip said at 5:30pm at a press conference.

When asked what made her fall for the prince, Hellqvist responded:

"Carl Philip is the most humble person I have ever met, which is what made me fall in the beginning", she explained. Hellqvist described the proposal as "a fantastic surprise".

"I expected a totally normal day at work. I was amazed and a little bit shocked".

The pair refused to give details about the proposal, but said that it occurred at a location they both love.

"Sofia has said yes today to sharing the rest of her life with me", the Prince said in the official statement on the court's webpage.

Sofia Hellqvist, a fashion model who has posed in men's magazines and participated in the scandalous TV series Paradise Hotel, has dated the Swedish prince since January 2010.

The relationship was controversial for a time, as Queen Silvia did not entirely approve of the match.

But lately the royal family seems to have welcomed her into the family, inviting her to weddings and christenings in the past year.

The couple met in 2009 at a club on Stureplan in Stockholm.

They have lived together on the Stockholm island of Djurgården since 2011.

Saudi King Orders Steps Against Disturbances In Iraq

Via China.org.cn:

Saudi King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saudi ordered on Thursday all measures to protect his country from disturbance in Iraq, according to Saudi Press Agency.

The National Security Council, chaired by the king, discussed current situations in the region, especially the course and consequences of events in Iraq.

"Concerned for the national security of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia against any measures that terrorist organizations or any other groups might resort to, that could destabilize security of the homeland, he (the king) has ordered all necessary measures to protect the gains of the homeland and its stability, and the security of the Saudi people", the report said.

Earlier this month, Saudi cabinet expressed extreme concern on the latest developments in Iraq and blamed the sectarian and exclusionary policies practiced in Iraq over the past years.

The Saudi Cabinet stressed the need to preserve Iraq's sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity, and the rejection of foreign interference in its internal affairs.

Armageddon On The Doorstep: The ISIS Conquest Of Iraq Leads To Jerusalem

Via The Daily Sheeple:

As we witness the brutalization of Iraq by the ISIS terror organization consider this: this Islamic march of death leads to Jerusalem.

The leading result of the call of the people in the Arab world for the overthrow of unsatisfactory leaders has been their cause being hijacked by insurgent jihadist terrorists.

We saw that in Libya with the fall of Gadhafi.

We saw it in Egypt where Mubarak was replaced by the Muslim Brotherhood, in this case an in-house jihadist movement.

We see it in Syria where the people’s cry against Assad has led to an influx of Al-Qaida type groups vying for dominance.

Now we witness the conquest of Iraq by a vicious Islamic terror regime against which Al-Qaida pales into moderation.

The Islamic State of Iraq (ISIS) is headed by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. He transformed a few small terror cells into the most brutal and lethal terror group on earth.

Mercy is not in this man’s vocabulary.

Abu Bakr picked up the mantle after Abu Omar al Baghdadi was killed in a joint U.S.-Iraqi operation in 2010.

Al-Qaida in Iraq was under the leadership of Abu Musab al-Zarqawi who, in a 2005 letter to the head of Al-Qaida, Ayman al-Zawahiri, put the aims of Al-Qaida in Iraq into four stages;

1. Drive America out of Iraq.

2. Create a Caliphate in Iraq.

3. Use that as a base to attack other countries.

4. Attack Israel.

When both al-Zarqawi and al-Baghdadi were killed by American forces it looked as if Al-Qaida was decimated in Iraq, but Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi reformed a weakening terror group by leading it in battle, honing its fighters’ training and experience in Iraq and Syria, and by using political savvy to link his growing group to local and tribal demands and interests.

It became both a fighting force and a social benefactor, winning local hearts and minds along a bloody path of victory.

He absorbed the al-Nusra Front terror group in Syria into his ranks, demanding their obedience. Seeing the growing threat, Al-Qaida’s al-Zarqawi, from his hiding place somewhere in Afghanistan or Pakistan, criticized ISIS for not concentrating on Iraq.

In response, a confident ISIS hit back, accusing the Al-Qaida chief of "Sheikh Osama (bin Laden) gathered all the mujahedeen with one word, but you divided them and tore them apart".

ISIS has attracted thousands of foreign fighters to its ranks, increasing its power and size.

The shockwaves caused by its Iraqi Blitzkreig in seizing the towns of Mosul, Tikrit, and Fallujah was met by a mocking response by ISIS.

“The battle is not yet raging, but it will rage in Baghdad and Karbala. Put on your belts and get ready” as they contemptuously called Iraqi leader, Nouri al-Maliki, an “underwear salesman".

Clearly, the battle for Iraq is along sectarian lines with the Sunni ISIS, representing the majority of Iraqis, challenging the Shia al-Maliki rule.

Clear also was al-Maliki’s refusal to allow American forces to stay on in Iraq, but the ISIS victories were enhanced by the military vacuum in Iraq following the American pullout, and this responsibility can be put at Obama’s White House door.

Obama’s self-proclaimed foreign-policy “achievements” have been U.S. troop withdrawals from Iraq, and “Al-Qaida has been decimated and is on the run!”.

These two boasts have now come back to haunt him. Al-Qaida has morphed into a bigger monster that is about to take over Iraq.

And what was President Obama’s response?

"We don’t have the resources. Let the local leaders deal with them".

The Sumerian Tablets Contain Our Entire Biblical Stories

Via Before It's News:

One of the oldest civilizations on Earth, the 30.000 Sumerian tablets were found buried in the desert near Baghdad from an underground structure estimated to be over 6000 years old, by two Muslims digging a well around the same time that Israel became a nation again.

All bible stories are found within these writings and one set of tablets which state the author is our Lord and these texts will be buried until the appropriate time when they will be revealed.

Many stories which include the trial of cane, the Garden of Eden, the expulsion of man from the garden and also other stories like why the asteroid belt is there and even what the face on Mars represents and who built it.

It states the Tower of Babel was a star-gate and it was destroyed by atomic weapons, which left green glass in the desert for thousands of years, which no one knew of the glasses origin until it was matched with the green glass from our atomic testing grounds in New Mexico, creating evidence to these tablets statements.

It also has the creation of man and the creation of Neanderthal man.

It tells the story of Noah’s ark and that God rewrote the Bible around 800 BC.

The U.N was created by the illuminati and their goal is to save and control the planet as part of their New World order and they also created Hitler to achieve this goal, but did not have the surveillance needed to control the people, which they now have remedied and by reducing the population to 500 million, just as their Georgia guide-stones state.

Sweden Onside As EU Set To Give Juncker Top Job

Via The Local:

Jean-Claude Juncker looks certain to get majority approval on Friday to take the top job at the European Commission after opposition to his candidacy fell away, with a Swedish turnaround leaving David Cameron isolated.

Juncker's candidacy for the EU Commission presidency was given a boost earlier in the week as Sweden announced it could back his bid.

Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt said on Friday that he still thinks the new election process is "the wrong way to do this", but that the country will back Juncker.

Sweden's support for Juncker leaves British Prime Minister David Cameron -- who is opposed to the appointment -- increasingly isolated ahead of an EU summit that is expected to be marked by a conflict over the key position.

"If Jean-Claude Juncker attracts a qualified majority of heads of state and government and also has the support of the European Parliament, then the Lisbon Treaty rules have been followed and the government recommends that Sweden joins this majority", Swedish Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt told his parliament's EU committee on Wednesday, according to news agency TT.

Cameron has led a campaign against Juncker, who is seen as a federalist not representing Britain's interests -- and has pledged to force the issue to a formal vote at the summit which traditionally makes important decisions by consensus.

But in recent days, it appeared that what little support he had was crumbling.

Reinfeldt had been considered an important ally having criticized the European Parliament's attempt to put forward Juncker as the winning candidate under new EU rules that give the parliament a bigger say.

"We do not support the idea because it would make it impossible for any other candidate and rule out a lot of potential commission presidents", Reinfeldt told the Financial Times two weeks ago.

When Reinfeldt played host to Cameron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and Prime Minister Mark Rutte of the Netherlands at a mini-summit in Sweden on June 10th, his position appeared to be closer to Cameron than to the pro-Juncker German leader.

But despite taking a step back from cooperation with Cameron, Reinfeldt added on Friday that the UK "has friends in the EU".

"We like British politics and we like British people - perhaps we should voice that more strongly", Reinfeldt said.

A European Council summit in Brussels on Friday is scheduled to approve a candidate for the presidency of the European Commission.

Juncker, 59, is a former prime minister of Luxembourg and has the backing of the European Parliament's largest groups, as well as a growing number of member states from both sides of the left-right divide.

Under EU rules the European Parliament has to be taken into account in the appointment of the Commission president and when the conservative EPP group won the most seats at the May European election the group argued their candidate Jean-Claude Juncker should be nominated.

The parliament also has the power to reject a candidate put forward by member states as it gives the final approval to the appointment.

Britain now faces the unusual prospect in the EU of being beaten in an embarrassing high-level vote which threatens to mar relations between the country and the 28-nation bloc ahead of a referendum on British membership which Cameron has promised to hold by 2017.

Mysterious Signal Detected In Galaxy 240 Million Light Years Away From Earth

Astronomers have detected a mysterious signal 240 million light years away from Earth.

The unidentified signal is a "spike of intensity at a very specific wavelength of x-ray light", but scientists don't yet know what the origin is.

Picked up in the Perseus Cluster, one of the biggest objects in the universe, the discovery is said to be the best evidence of dark matter yet.

Astronomers believe dark matter constitutes 85 percent of the matter in the universe, but doesn't emit or absorb light like normal matter such as protons or electrons, which are known to make up the familiar elements seen in planets, stars, and galaxies.

Researchers suggest intensity coming from the Perseus Cluster could be a signature from the decay of a "sterile neutrino" - which are a hypothetical type of neutrino thought to interact with normal matter via gravity.

But while holding exciting potential, the results must be confirmed with additional data to rule out other explanations and to see whether it is plausible that dark matter has been observed.

Children Armed With Rifles Parade In Isis Convoy

Via The Telegraph:

Gun-toting children paraded through the streets of Mosul in Iraq yesterday.

An ITV News video shows an Isis convoy traveling through the city, with the militants showing off the weapons and vehicle they seized as the Iraqi army fled.

The footage shows two small boys, one armed with an assault rifle, which has a telescopic sight attached.

Humans Rights Watch says that in Syria, Isis has already recruited young children as "snipers" - this could be an indication that the Iraq conflict may see the same.

Extremist Islamist groups like ISIS are said to have targeted children for recruitment by providing military training in school settings through free schooling campaigns, that include weapons training and giving them dangerous tasks, including suicide bombing missions.

Human Rights Watch who have interviewed children who fought with groups such as the Free Syrian Army, the Islamic Front coalition and ISIS, says the militants have used children as young as 14 in support roles.

Dying Vet's "F*** You" Letter To George Bush And Dick Cheney Needs To Be Read By Every American

Via Disclose.tv:

From: Tomas Young

I write this letter on the 10th anniversary of the Iraq War on behalf of my fellow Iraq War veterans. I write this letter on behalf of the 4,488 soldiers and Marines who died in Iraq. I write this letter on behalf of the hundreds of thousands of veterans who have been wounded and on behalf of those whose wounds, physical and psychological, have destroyed their lives. I am one of those gravely wounded. I was paralyzed in an insurgent ambush in 2004 in Sadr City. My life is coming to an end. I am living under hospice care. I write this letter on behalf of husbands and wives who have lost spouses, on behalf of children who have lost a parent, on behalf of the fathers and mothers who have lost sons and daughters and on behalf of those who care for the many thousands of my fellow veterans who have brain injuries. I write this letter on behalf of those veterans whose trauma and self-revulsion for what they have witnessed, endured and done in Iraq have led to suicide and on behalf of the active-duty soldiers and Marines who commit, on average, a suicide a day. I write this letter on behalf of the some 1 million Iraqi dead and on behalf of the countless Iraqi wounded. I write this letter on behalf of us all - the human detritus your war has left behind, those who will spend their lives in unending pain and grief. I write this letter, my last letter, to you, Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney. I write not because I think you grasp the terrible human and moral consequences of your lies, manipulation and thirst for wealth and power. I write this letter because, before my own death, I want to make it clear that I, and hundreds of thousands of my fellow veterans, along with millions of my fellow citizens, along with hundreds of millions more in Iraq and the Middle East, know fully who you are and what you have done. You may evade justice but in our eyes you are each guilty of egregious war crimes, of plunder and, finally, of murder, including the murder of thousands of young Americans - my fellow veterans - whose future you stole. Your positions of authority, your millions of dollars of personal wealth, your public relations consultants, your privilege and your power cannot mask the hollowness of your character. You sent us to fight and die in Iraq after you, Mr. Cheney, dodged the draft in Vietnam, and you, Mr. Bush, went AWOL from your National Guard unit. Your cowardice and selfishness were established decades ago. You were not willing to risk yourselves for our nation but you sent hundreds of thousands of young men and women to be sacrificed in a senseless war with no more thought than it takes to put out the garbage.

I joined the Army two days after the 9/11 attacks. I joined the Army because our country had been attacked. I wanted to strike back at those who had killed some 3,000 of my fellow citizens. I did not join the Army to go to Iraq, a country that had no part in the September 2001 attacks and did not pose a threat to its neighbors, much less to the United States. I did not join the Army to "liberate" Iraqis or to shut down mythical weapons-of-mass-destruction facilities or to implant what you cynically called "democracy" in Baghdad and the Middle East. I did not join the Army to rebuild Iraq, which at the time you told us could be paid for by Iraq's oil revenues. Instead, this war has cost the United States over $3 trillion. I especially did not join the Army to carry out pre-emptive war. Pre-emptive war is illegal under international law. And as a soldier in Iraq I was, I now know, abetting your idiocy and your crimes. The Iraq War is the largest strategic blunder in U.S. history. It obliterated the balance of power in the Middle East. It installed a corrupt and brutal pro-Iranian government in Baghdad, one cemented in power through the use of torture, death squads and terror. And it has left Iran as the dominant force in the region. On every level - moral, strategic, military and economic - Iraq was a failure. And it was you, Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney, who started this war. It is you who should pay the consequences. I would not be writing this letter if I had been wounded fighting in Afghanistan against those forces that carried out the attacks of 9/11. Had I been wounded there I would still be miserable because of my physical deterioration and imminent death, but I would at least have the comfort of knowing that my injuries were a consequence of my own decision to defend the country I love. I would not have to lie in my bed, my body filled with painkillers, my life ebbing away, and deal with the fact that hundreds of thousands of human beings, including children, including myself, were sacrificed by you for little more than the greed of oil companies, for your alliance with the oil sheiks in Saudi Arabia, and your insane visions of empire. I have, like many other disabled veterans, suffered from the inadequate and often inept care provided by the Veterans Administration. I have, like many other disabled veterans, come to realize that our mental and physical wounds are of no interest to you, perhaps of no interest to any politician. We were used. We were betrayed. And we have been abandoned. You, Mr. Bush, make much pretense of being a Christian. But isn't lying a sin? Isn't murder a sin? Aren't theft and selfish ambition sins? I am not a Christian. But I believe in the Christian ideal. I believe that what you do to the least of your brothers you finally do to yourself, to your own soul. My day of reckoning is upon me. Yours will come. I hope you will be put on trial. But mostly I hope, for your sakes, that you find the moral courage to face what you have done to me and to many, many others who deserved to live. I hope that before your time on earth ends, as mine is now ending, you will find the strength of character to stand before the American public and the world, and in particular the Iraqi people, and beg for forgiveness. - Tomas Young

World Cup Boosts Sales For Gaming Firms

Via The Local:

The unpredictable results of the 2014 World Cup have been good news for the Swedish gaming industry, with sales increasing by 50 percent compared to 12 months ago.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic and company may not have qualified for the football extravaganza in Brazil, but Swedes are certainly keen on betting on the action in South America.

"There have been more bets traded than during the last World Cup when looking at the group stage, and the group stage isn't even finished yet so it's very positive figures", Michael Stålblom of Sweden's state-owned gaming company Svenska Spel told Swedish Radio's Ekot.

Betting sales have rocketed by an estimated 50 percent in comparison to 2013, when no major football tournament was taking place.

Stålblom added that the shock results, such as Spain and England being dumped out in the first round, have helped the gaming firms clean up.

Betting is tightly controlled in Sweden, with only Svenska Spel having a high-street presence.

However, there are no such restrictions for online betting firms, which have been advertizing heavily on television and other media formats during the tournament.

It's also common for live-betting odds to flash up on screen during televized matches during the Swedish Allsvenskan.

One Swedish football fan has already pocketed big after earning 14.000 kronor ($2.080) that Uruguay star Luis Suarez would bite somebody during the World Cup.

Only 5% Of Swedish Teachers Feel "Valued"

Via The Swedish Wire:

Only 5% of teachers in Sweden feel their profession is valued, according to a major international study.

The OECD, responsible for Pisa tests comparing international education standards, has turned its attention to the state of teaching, examining the working lives of 100.000 teachers and heads in 34 education systems, the BBC said.

The economic think-tank argues that the quality of teaching, more than any other factor, determines the outcomes of an education system. But the report - Teaching and Learning International Survey (Talis) - shows that many teachers do not feel that the importance of their role is recognized.

The research reveals a wide cultural gap - with a much more positive perception of teacher status in Asia than in Europe.

Fewer than a third of teachers in developed countries feel their profession is valued.

In Sweden the number is as low as 5%, following tumbling results in the international Pisa education rankings.

Swedish pupils' fell below the OECD average in maths, reading comprehension, and natural sciences.

In terms of aggressive behavior, in Sweden there are reports of regular intimidation and verbal abuse toward teachers.

Renzi: EU Faces "Crossroads" Between Austerity And Recovery

Via EUobserver:

The EU is at a “crossroads” between accepting a long period of austerity and high unemployment or taking steps to boost an economic recovery, Italian prime minister Matteo Renzi has warned.

Speaking in national parliament on Tuesday (24 June), Renzi told deputies that "high priests and prophets of austerity" were stifling the European economy.

Renzi’s government takes control of the EU’s six month rotating presidency next week and has indicated that migration and the bloc’s stability and growth pact will be its main policy priorities.

The Italian Prime Minister has led calls for the pact’s rules on budget deficits to be interpreted in a way that encourages more public investment.

He told parliament that although Rome would "respect the rules", most notably the requirement to keep Italy’s budget deficit within 3 percent of GDP, "there are different ways of approaching rules".

"Either we accept that we share common values, or you can keep your currency and we’ll keep our values", he told deputies.

The language is likely to inflame opinion in Berlin, where Angela Merkel and her finance minister Wolfgang Schuaeble maintain that the 3 percent threshold offers sufficient flexibility, but momentum to revise the implementation of the pact has gained pace in recent weeks.

An IMF report presented to ministers last week by the Fund’s managing director, Christine Lagarde, urged them to scrap the deficit target, arguing that the pact’s rules had "become excessively complicated with multiple objectives and targets".

Meanwhile, a priorities paper drafted by Renzi and his Europe minister Sandro Gozi to be presented to EU leaders at this week’s summit in Brussels, states that the pact’s rules have been interpreted "in a restrictive fashion and used mainly to accommodate extreme recessions".

The Italians’ second priority is to beef up the EU’s approach to migration, particularly from north African countries affected by the Arab Spring. It moots the possibility of creating an integrated system of Border Control Guards in Europe.

Despite only becoming prime minister in February, Renzi has quickly built a strong platform of support at home and abroad.

His centre-left Democratic party scored a decisive victory in May’s European election, taking 31 of Italy’s 73 MEP seats.

With the next European Commission not in place until October, Renzi’s presidency is well placed to define the agenda of the next five year legislature.

The presidency paper also argues that May’s European elections, which saw a surge in support for the far-right and eurosceptic parties, highlighted "a widespread and still unanswered demand for change".

Turning a "blind eye" could see "this demand turn sour, fueling anti-European, even xenophobic sentiment", it adds.

Referring to the debate on whether Jean Claude Juncker will become the next President of the European Commission, Renzi noted that "those who imagine that the gap in Europe is filled with the nomination of Juncker are living on Mars".

However, he is still expected to back the former Luxembourg premier.

Katie Cleary Gets Cozy With Leo, Her Husband Shoots Himself

Via WWTDD:

Internet entrepreneur and pretend millionaire bachelor on Millionaire Matchmaker, Andrew Stern was apparently having a meltdown over his wife and former Deal or No Deal model Katie Cleary when he shot himself in the head.

Stern was reportedly pissed that his wife was in Cannes last month spotted getting close with Leonardo DiCaprio at some party.

Leonardo’s people deny that anything happened, though they had to admit he totally could’ve fucked her if he wanted to.

On the same trip, Katie was also spotted hanging out with Adrian Grenier who might be gay, but he’s definitely better looking than you.

Between the marital troubles, remembering that he wasn’t really a millionaire, and seeing the love of his life trying to board a bigger boat in Cannes, Stern became very depressed and ultimately shot himself in the noggin at a gun range in the Valley.

Putin Says U.S. Trying To Derail Gas Pipeline Plan

Via Yahoo! News:

The U.S. is trying to derail a project to build a gas pipeline that bypasses Ukraine to supply Europe, Russian President Vladimir Putin said Tuesday after Russian and Austrian energy firms agreed to build the pipeline's western end.

Austria's OMV and Russia's Gazprom signed a contract for the construction of the pipeline's Austrian section hours before Putin arrived on his second trip to the West since tensions spiraled over Russia's actions in Ukraine, a crisis that has prompted calls for Europe to lessen its reliance on Russian gas.

OMV general director Gerhard Roiss said the South Stream pipeline will "ensure energy security for Europe, particularly for Austria".

Austrian President Heinz Fischer, who met with Putin, noted that large sections of the pipeline will cross NATO and European Union members Bulgaria and Hungary.

"No one can tell me why ... a gas pipeline that crosses NATO and EU states can't touch 50 kilometers (31 miles) of Austrian territory", he said.

Asked about American criticism of the pipeline, which is expected to start running in late 2016, Putin said that "our American friends ... want to supply Europe with gas themselves".

"They do everything to derail this contract. There is nothing unusual about it. It's competition, and political means are used in this competition", he said.

Bulgaria this month froze work on its section of the pipeline on orders from the EU Commission, which said Bulgaria hadn't respected rules on awarding public contracts. The Commission has also delayed some political talks on the pipeline amid the crisis in Ukraine.

Austria is a member of the EU, which along with the U.S. has imposed visa bans and asset freezes on a number of Russian officials.

The U.S. Embassy in Vienna said earlier Tuesday that trans-Atlantic unity has been essential to "discouraging further Russian aggression" and that the Austrians "should consider carefully whether today's events contribute to that effort".

Revealed: How Governments Can Take Control Of Smartphones

Via RT:

"Legal malware" produced by the Italian firm Hacking Team can take total control of your mobile phone.

That’s according to Russian security firm Kaspersky Lab and University of Toronto’s Citizen Lab (which also obtained a user manual).

Operating since 2001, the Milan-based Hacking Team employs over 50 people and offers clients the ability to "take control of your targets and monitor them regardless of encryption and mobility", while "keeping an eye on all your targets and manage them remotely, all from a single screen".

It’s the first time Remote Control Systems (RCS) malware has been positively linked with mobile phones and it opens up a new privacy threat potential to mobile phone users.

"Our latest research has identified mobile modules that work on all well-known mobile platforms, including as Android and iOS", wrote Kaspersky researcher Sergey Golovanov.

"These modules are installed using infectors – special executables for either Windows or Macs that run on already infected computers. They translate into complete control over the environment in and near a victim’s computer. Secretly activating the microphone and taking regular camera shots provides constant surveillance of the target – which is much more powerful than traditional cloak and dagger operations".

"Right Move To Close Down Elite School": Court

Via The Local:

A Swedish court ruled on Wednesday that the country's school inspectorate was right to close down prestigious boarding school Lundsberg, where pupils used a hot iron to scald a newly enrolled student in a hazing ritual.

Sweden's Supreme Administrative Court (Högsta förvaltningsdomstolen) ruled on Wednesday that Sweden's School Inspectorate (Skolinspektionen) was correct in shutting down the Lundsberg school.

In late August, the inspectorate demanded Lundsberg be closed down temporarily.

Later that night, the school's principal of ten years, Staffan Hörnberg, was sacked and the entire board resigned as news of the scandal continued to spread, making echoes around the world.

In November, another court had ruled that the inspectorate did not have the supervisory responsibility for the boarding school and should not have closed it.

Lundsberg was closed in the last weeks of August after two teenage boys were left with burns after a hazing ritual involving an iron.

The older students responsible for the burns claimed they thought the iron had cooled down by the time they pressed it against the younger students' backs.

Nine of the students involved were charged over the incident earlier this week.

Three American Friends Hospitalized After Becoming "Possessed" Following Ouija Board Game In Mexican Village

Via Mail Online:

Three American friends have been taken to hospital after reportedly becoming "possessed" by evil spirits while playing with a Ouija board.

Alexandra Huerta, 22, was playing the game with her brother Sergio, 23, and 18-year-old cousin Fernando Cuevas at a house in the village of San Juan Tlacotenco in south-west Mexico.

But minutes into it, she apparently started "growling" and thrashing around in a "trance-like" state.

Meanwhile, Sergio and Fernando also reportedly started showing signs of "possession", including feelings of blindness, deafness, and hallucinations.

Paramedics were called to the house and took the trio to hospital, according to Alexandra's parents.

They restrained Alexandra to prevent her from hurting herself, before treating the three with painkillers, anti-stress medication, and eye drops, which seemingly worked.

Victor Demesa, 46, the director of public safety in the nearby town of Tepoztlan, said: "The medical rescue of these three young people was very complicated".

"They had involuntary movements and it was difficult to transfer them to the nearest hospital because they were so erratic".

"It appeared as if they were in a trance-like state, apparently after playing with the Ouija board".

"They spoke of feeling numbness, double vision, blindness, deafness, hallucinations, muscle spasm, and difficulty swallowing".

He added that whether the trio were really possessed, or had simply convinced themselves that they were, was not for doctors to comment on.

Alexandra's parents said they had called paramedics after a local Catholic priest refused to perform an exorcism on the three because they were not regular churchgoers.

The Ouija board - also known as a spirit board or talking board - is a flat board marked with the letters of the alphabet, the numbers 0-9, the words 'yes', 'no', 'hello' and 'goodbye' and various symbols and graphics.

It uses a small heart-shaped piece of wood or movable indicator to indicate the spirit's message by spelling it out on the board during a seance.

Participants place their fingers on the wood and it is supposedly moved around the board by the spirit to spell out words.

Mainstream religions and some occultists have associated use of a Ouija board with the concept of demonic possession, and have cautioned their followers not to use one.

Putin Asks Upper House To Repeal Decision Allowing Use Of Military Force In Ukraine

Via RT:

President Vladimir Putin has proposed that the upper house call off the March 1 resolution allowing the head of state to use the armed forces on the territory of Ukraine, said presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov.

"Because of the beginning of the three-party talks to settle down the situation in the eastern parts of Ukraine, the head of state has addressed to the Federation Council to repeal the resolution on the use of Russian armed forces on the territory of Ukraine,” ITAR-TASS cited Peskov as saying.

The President sent an address to Federation Council Valentina Matvienko today morning, ahead of leaving on official visit to Vienna.

Deputy Head of the Federation Council’s International Committee Andrey Klimov confirmed the upper house will back Putin’s proposal and repeal the resolution on Wednesday, June 25.

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has called the proposal of his Russian counterpart a "first practical step towards settlement of the situation in eastern Ukraine", reported the Ukrainian president’s press-service in a specially released statement.

The EU welcomed Putin’s decision to reject the right to use military force to settle the crisis in Ukraine and welcomes its earliest realization, the press-secretary of EU foreign affairs chief Catherine Ashton stated.

The Federation Council’s resolution of March 1 agreed on the President‘s right to use military force on the territory of the neighboring Ukraine "until the normalization of the social and political situation in that country".

Time-Traveling Photon Simulation Connect General Relativity To Quantum Mechanics

Via Disclose.tv:

Scientists have simulated time travel by using particles of light acting as quantum particles sent away and then brought back to their original space-time location.

This is a huge step toward marrying two of the most irreconcilable theories in physics.

Since traveling all the way to a black hole to see if an object you're holding would bend, break or put itself back together in inexplicable ways is a bit of a trek, scientists have decided to find a point of convergence between general relativity and quantum mechanics in lab conditions, and they achieved success.

Australian researchers from the UQ's School of Mathematics and Physics wanted to plug the holes in the discrepancies that exist between two of our most commonly accepted physics theories, which is no easy task: on the one hand, you have Einstein's theory of general relativity, which predicts the behavior of massive objects like planets and galaxies; but on the other, you have something whose laws completely clash with Einstein's - and that is the theory of quantum mechanics, which describes our world at the molecular level.

And this is where things get interesting: we still have no concrete idea of all the principles of movement and interaction that underpin this theory.

Natural laws of space and time simply break down there.

The light particles used in the study are known as photons, and in this University of Queensland study, they stood in for actual quantum particles for the purpose of finding out how they behaved while moving through space and time.

Iraq Militants "Turning Back Clock" In Captured Mosul

Via Yahoo! News:

In the two weeks since it was seized by Sunni militants, some residents of the northern Iraq city of Mosul feel the clock has been turned back hundreds of years.

The militants, led by the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) jihadist group, have begun imposing an extreme interpretation of Islamic law in the days since they took the city, residents reached by telephone told AFP.

"These militants will return us and our country hundreds of years backwards, and their laws are the opposite of the laws of human rights and international laws", said Umm Mohammed, a 35-year-old teacher.

Women are to wear non-revealing clothes and keep to their homes, while "shrines" are to be destroyed.

All depictions of people are considered idolatrous under the militants' extreme interpretation of Islam, and gunmen have removed various statues from the city in recent days, including some depicting famous poets.

Abu Ramzi, one of Mosul's Christians who did not flee the city, said militants destroyed a statue of the Virgin Mary in front of a church.

Sunni extremists in Iraq have now occupied what was once Saddam Hussein’s premier chemical-weapons facility and found weapons of mass destruction.

ISIS, the group people are saying is worse than Al Qaeda – I guess you have to be competitive in today’s world – has apparently captured a stockpile of chemical weapons which never existed.

Guess those inspectors missed something?

Football Match-Fixing: Secret Footage Shows Ghana Football Chief Agreeing To Take Part In "Rigged" Match

Via The Telegraph:

The secret meeting at the five-star hotel between the Ghana FA and the undercover reporters.

The moment that the President of the Ghana Football Association agreed that his team would take part in a game organized by match fixers can now be disclosed for the first time.

The Telegraph today releases video of Kwesi Nyantakyi meeting reporters and investigators from the Telegraph and Channel’ 4’s Dispatches at a five-star hotel in Miami.

The meeting was part of six month investigation in which representatives of "Diamond Capital" said they wanted to arrange football matches while appointing the referees.

During the covertly recorded encounter at the St Regis Bal Harbour hotel at the beginning of June, Mr Nyantakyi said that the sports investment group should have an "experimental period" before the Ghana FA agreed that all their friendly matches should be organized by Diamond.

Appointing referees is a common way of fixing the result of a football match.

Before the Miami meeting, the fixers said that the President of the Ghana FA had raised concerns that he might be accidentally holding a meeting with undercover reporters.

Two fixers – Christopher Forsythe and Obed Nketiah – had arranged the Miami meeting, but Mr Nyantakyi had already spoken to the Diamond Capital representatives on Skype.

Although the contract specifically stated that Diamond would appoint the referees – in direct breach of Fifa rules – Mr Nyantakyi only raised concerns about the exclusivity clause.

Mr Nyantakyi said that several groups had wanted to arrange Ghana’s friendly international matches, but he was worried that one company would not be able to arrange enough games.

"Each of them has asked for this kind of relationship, but we have been reluctant to do it because from our experience, one person has not been able to provide matches all the time", he said.

Apart from this point, the President said he was happy with the contract.

Reporter: Were you happy with the contract, apart from addressing that point?

Mr Nyantakyi: Yeah these are the issues that I’ve got with it.

Reporter: Great.

Mr Nyantakyi: So we can work on that with a trial game.

President: Yeah.

The latest evidence will raise further serious questions over the upper echelons of football.

Fifa said that Ghana had reported the matter and it was "evaluating the matter".

The World Cup organisers said that they took "allegations of match manipulation very seriously".

Last night, Ghana said it would report two other figures to police and insisted that the President had not known about the plans to fix matches.

"Neither the Emergency Committee or any of its members acting alone or together as a committee authorized Mr Forsythe or any other person to solicit or receive bribes from Diamond Capital Management on its/their behalf", said a spokesman for the Ghana Football Association.

"In Ghana, it’s a criminal offence to solicit or receive bribes. We will ask the Police to investigate this aspect of the case".

Man With 200 IQ On The Takeover Of The World: Video Documents The Dangerous Secrets They Don’t Want You To Know

Via Before It's News:

David Wynn Miller shares in the outstanding video above that he is a supporter of the U.S. Constitution.

He shares much more, including information that caused 2 U.S. Secret Service agents to confront him over his release of that information to "world bodies".

According to David Wynn Millers website, when he was only 25 years old, he had a kidney disorder that required surgery; however the doctor scheduled to operate on the day of surgery was unavailable, and at the last minute was replaced by a Korean doctor who had never operated on any human before, a complete novice.

To cut a long story short, the Korean doctor read David’s chart incorrectly and surgically removed both kidney’s including the adrenal glands – David died on the operating table.

In the Morgue the nurse assisting the autopsy noticed David’s heart, which at this stage was lying on the outside of his body on his chest unsevered, incredulously the heart began to beat!

He came back from the dead? Well, yes he did with an IQ of 200 …….go figure.

"Truth language" … David Wynn Miller teaches courses and disrupts courts.

Is David Wynn Miller, the man with a 200 IQ who claims to be a 92nd degree Freemason, the most dangerous man in the world?

Upon going to the U.S. Supreme Court to prosecute U.S. Supreme Court Justice William Rehnquist in 1988, David Wynn Miller was immediately arrested for threatening a U.S. judge and taken into a closed room, surrounded by 6 U.S. marshalls.

Justice Rehnquist came down from his chambers and told David he had his signed confession for treason against the United States people.

David gave his brief response to Judge Rehnquist and within seconds, the Justice requested that everyone else leave the room so that he could have a private conversation with the man who moments before had come to arrest him, a conversation that lasted for 2 1/2 hours.

Anyone who wants to understand the takeover of our country and our world a little bit better will learn a lot from this 20 minutes; this is certainly one of the most fascinating speeches that I have ever heard from a man whom, I would argue, may be one of the most dangerous men in the world.

Earliest Military Camp Discovered At Carnuntum

Via Austrian Times:

Archaeologists have discovered one of the earliest Roman military camps in the Carnuntum on the Danube near Vienna.

The discovery of the extensive military camp, that is believed to be the size of six football pitches, was done using a high tech radar machine that can detect objects deep into the ground.

The camp was unearthed at the Archaeological Park Carnuntum, located in Lower Austria between Vienna and the Slovakian capital Bratislava.

It was discovered near to the remains of an ancient village and researchers believe it is probably the earliest military camp at Carnuntum.

The discovery follows that made a few years ago in the same area of a colossal Roman gladiator school that once stood on the banks of the River Danube.

ISIS Militants Seize 3 New Iraqi Cities In Anbar Province - Reports

Via RT:

The militants of the Al-Qaeda splinter group ISIS have managed to capture three new towns in Iraq’s western province of Anbar on Sunday, Reuters reported, citing eyewitnesses and security sources.

"Army troops withdrew from Rawah, Anah and Rutba this morning and ISIS moved quickly to completely control these towns", an unnamed military intelligence official told Reuters.

Iraqi troops have ceded control of four towns in the last two days.

On Saturday, the town of Qaim was captured by insurgents.

Staff in Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki’s office has held a press conference later Sunday commenting on the confused retreat of the country’s army.

The Iraqi government’s security spokesman, Lieutenant General Qassem Atta, said that the withdrawal from the three cities was "tactical".

"The military units' withdrawal (from Al-Qaim, Rawa and Ana) was for the purpose of redeployment", he said.

One of the captured towns, Rutba, with a population of about 55.000, is situated in a strategic location about 150 kilometers east of the Jordanian border, with the Amman-Baghdad road and the Mosul–Haifa oil pipeline passing nearby.

Anonymous sources told AP that the army intends to fight back to recapture Rutba and threatened to start shelling.

This prompted the town’s residents, among whom there could be up to 20.000 refugees from Fallujah and Ramadi, to negotiate with the invading militants to leave the city peacefully.

Two other captured cities, Rawah and Anah, stand on the banks of the Euphrates River.

The militants appear likely to head for the city of Haditha, where an important dam is positioned.

The Iraqi military has reportedly dispatched 2.000 additional troops to protect this dam, but whether the army will be capable of fulfilling the task remains to be seen.

The Sunni militants control vast areas not only of Iraq but of Syria as well.

Control over border crossings, such as the city of Qaim, allows the insurgents to easily transport ammunition and supplies between the two countries.

In the meantime, thousands of pro-government Shiite militiamen marched through Baghdad, Kirkuk and other Iraqi cities in a show of force.

Miley Cyrus’ Biggest Fan Is Deaf

Via WWTDD:

The obsessed fan arrested for stalking musician Miley Cyrus is apparently deaf.

Devon Meek is also batshit insane, a fact confirmed by police when he informed them he is a huge fan of Cyrus.

Since he can’t actually hear Cyrus’ honking he mostly makes up his own songs and attributes them to her, which isn’t a bad idea.

Why not bestow imaginary talent onto a chick you want to bang?

Or in the case of Meek, cut up into little pieces and feed to your cat and then bang.

I’m going to start pretending that Sasha Grey was the front man for Nirvana.

And that Kate Upton was the first person to walk on the moon where she implored the moon people not to treat her like a sex object.

The problem for Meek is that he’s legally restrained from being within a football field distance of Miley Cyrus.

Out of pure caution he’ll have to walk in the other direction every time a twelve year old boy steps into his virtual perimeter.

Still, the law can’t stop Meek from jerking off to his I Heart Miley back tattoo while looking over his shoulder in the mirror.

Justice may be blind, but it’s not deaf.

Iraqi Military Out Of Hellfires In Battle Against ISIS

Via ABC News:

The Iraqi military ran out of Hellfire missiles six days ago, and though the U.S. is rushing more missiles into the country, Iraq has only two modified Cessna aircraft to launch them in their battle against the radical Islamic militia ISIS.

ISIS has damaged 28 tanks and shot down three helicopters, a significant percentage of the government force, and the militia killed an entire Iraqi Security Force brigade in the last couple of days at the border with Syria, which ISIS now controls.

The losses have left the Iraqi military with no offensive capability, and no real air force.

The girls nabbed the vehicle in the early hours of Saturday in Knivsta, just south of Uppsala in eastern Sweden, according to a report in the local Uppsala Nya Tidning (UNT) daily.

The pair took turns to drive the car and their illicit joyride ended when they flipped the car onto its roof on the main E4 motorway.

Police arrived on the scene shortly after to find the vehicle but no sign of a driver.

The girls are reported to have escaped unscathed from the violent crash and fled the scene by ordering a taxi to take them to Uppsala.

The pair are now suspected of car theft and of fleeing the scene of an accident.

The girls' parents and municipal social services have been informed of the incident, according to UNT.

In a separate incident a 14-year-old boy was stopped by police near Uppsala on Sunday morning after being spotted driving a stolen car at high speed.

The teenager was accompanied by another boy and girl, also 14-years-old.

"These boys have got out of a home and then stolen the car", said Torsten Hemlin at Uppsala police to UNT.

The car is reported to have been driven at high speed and the boy is suspected of having broken a litany of traffic regulations.

The boys are suspected of vehicle theft and the driver is also suspected of reckless driving.

Doctors Without Borders: Ebola "Out Of Control"

Via Breitbart:

The Ebola outbreak ravaging West Africa is "totally out of control", according to a senior official for Doctors Without Borders, who says the medical group is stretched to the limit in responding.

The outbreak has caused more deaths than any other of the disease, said another official with the medical charity.

Ebola has been linked to more than 330 deaths in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia, according to the World Health Organization.

International organizations and the governments involved need to send in more health experts and increase public education messages about how to stop the spread of the disease, Bart Janssens, the director of operations for the medical group in Brussels, told The Associated Press.

"The reality is clear that the epidemic is now in a second wave", Janssens said.

"And, for me, it is totally out of control".

The Ebola virus, which causes internal bleeding and organ failure, spreads through direct contact with infected people.

There is no cure or vaccine, so containing an outbreak focuses on supportive care for the ill and isolating them to limit the spread of the virus.

The current outbreak, which began in Guinea either late last year or early this year, had appeared to slow before picking up pace again in recent weeks, including spreading to the Liberian capital for the first time.

"This is the highest outbreak on record and has the highest number of deaths, so this is unprecedented so far", said Armand Sprecher, a public health specialist with Doctors Without Borders.

The multiple locations of the current outbreak and its movement across borders make it one of the "most challenging Ebola outbreaks ever", Fadela Chaib, a spokeswoman for the World Health Organization, said earlier in the week.

But Janssens' description of the Ebola outbreak was even more alarming, and he warned that the countries involved had not recognized the gravity of the situation.

He criticized WHO for not doing enough to prod local leaders; the U.N. health agency did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

"There needs to be a real political commitment that this is a very big emergency", he said.

"Otherwise, it will continue to spread, and for sure it will spread to more countries".

Janssens said the only way to stop the disease's spread is to persuade people to come forward when symptoms occur and to avoid touching the sick and dead.

He said this outbreak is particularly challenging because it began in an area where people are very mobile and has spread to even more densely populated areas, like the capitals of Guinea and Liberia.

The disease typically strikes sparsely populated areas in central or eastern Africa, where it spreads less easily, he said.

By contrast, the epicenter of this outbreak is near a major regional transport hub, the Guinean city of Gueckedou.

Earth's Changing Magnetism Revealed

Via Disclose.tv:

Measurements made over the past six months confirm the general trend of the Earth's magnetic field's weakening, with the most dramatic declines over the western hemisphere.

In other areas, such as the southern Indian Ocean, the magnetic field has strengthened since January.

The latest measurements also confirm the movement of magnetic North towards Siberia.

These changes are based on the magnetic signals stemming from Earth's core.

Sweden's Biggest Party Demands Central Bank Shake-Up After Krugman Critic

Via The Swedish Wire:

Two months after Nobel laureate Paul Krugman criticized Sweden’s central bank for exposing the largest Nordic economy to a deflationary spiral, the country’s biggest party is seeking a monetary policy review, Bloomberg said.

"The Riksbank has not fulfilled the inflation target", Stefan Löfven, head of the Social Democrat party and the front-runner to become Sweden’s next Prime Minister, told the news bureau.

"If you give someone a task, we must be able to discuss whether they have managed that task or not, or the target to be more precise, I absolutely think we should be allowed to do that".

Nobel Laureate and Princeton University professor Paul Krugman said that Sweden’s central bank should delay plans for interest rate increases to avoid aggravating a significant housing bubble.

A low repo rate would limit risks of falling house prices and allow inflation to erode record household debt levels.

"It’s possible, I would even say probable, that Sweden has a significant housing bubble and it does have a high level of household debt", he said in an interview in Stockholm after speaking at a Skagen Funds conference.

"But given the borrowing has already happened and where you are right now the household debt issue is only made worse if you raise interest rates. It’s only made worse if you allow the economy to slide in deflation, so at this point what you want is an expansionary monetary policy to offset the risks of a housing decline or of a debt problem".

Sweden Democrats Ukip Deal Eases Pariah Status

Via The Local:

Ukip leader Nigel Farage's decision to admit the Sweden Democrats into its European parliament group helps to give the party with fascist roots greater credibility and acceptance, according to a Swedish expert.

"For SD it is another step in the process of institutionalizing themselves and becoming a member of an established EU-critical group", Ann-Cathrine Jungar, political scientist at Stockholm's Södertörn University, told The Local.

"From their point of view, it's a further step in that process, and also in gaining credibility and being accepted. When you're a member of a group there is more likelihood of having a voice and having influence", she added.

Nigel Farage, the president of the EFD and whose party claimed the largest number of seats in the UK, had previously described working with the Sweden Democrats as "highly unlikely".

Jungar, who specializes in radical right parties in Europe, explained that the apparent u-turn was made possible in part by overtures from the Sweden Democrats and in part out of the necessity of EU politics.

"Farage was in a situation where he needed new members. There were enough seats but he needed representatives from seven member nations. The threshold was lower", she said.

"Farage had originally criticized the Sweden Democrats for being 'too extreme', but I believe it was more aimed towards the youth group which had united with the National Front".

The UK has unfortunately no big communist political party which fights the EU fascism, just the same problem as with France.

For UKIP now to work with Swedish extremists, will of course weaken UKIP both on the international and on the domestic level.

Marlen Doll Celebrates Chile’s World Cup Victory With 12 Hours Of Sex

Via WWTDD:

Chilean porn star, as if that can be checked, Marlen Doll promised to have sex for eight hours straight if Chile won their initial World Cup match.

It’s a big thing for South American pros to promise nudity or sex in support of their nation’s soccer cause.

Though not as big for a woman who typically has sex for eight hours a day.

After Chile’s win, Marlen got into the spirit and had guys doink her for twelve straight hours.

Four bonus hours on the house, proving once again the porn stars are more honest than politicians.

Marlen has promised to go guy-to-guy penetration for sixteen hours if Chile takes out Spain in their second match.

It’s a length of time for which Marlen will probably need a feeding tube and a shit bucket.

That might put off some guys, but if you’re willing to be ticket number fifty-seven in a Chilean porn marathon train, you’re probably not too particular.
